Gina woke up to the sound of laughter downstairs. She stretched her arms over her head and then sat up. Before heading downstairs she peaked in Isabelle's room. She was sound asleep, her stomach rising and falling to a steady pace. Gina smiled and then quietly closed the door. Walking down the stairs she continued to hear laughter coming from the kitchen. Gina stopped and stared at Danielle who stood in the middle of the kitchen drinking coffee and watching the mini television that sat on the counter.
Danielle turned her head and smiled at Gina. "Hey." Gina smiled back. "Watching saturday morning cartoons I see. Do you realize the one person who should be watching this show is upstairs sleeping?" "Hey, this is 'Recess'. I love this show." Danielle said defending herself. Gina laughed. "The only cartoon that I like is Sponge Bob Square Pants." Gina stated. "Oh, that doesn't come on for another hour." Danielle said, taking a sip of her coffee. Gina laughed and poured herself a cup.
Danielle shut off the TV and took a seat at the table. "So, what did you and AJ talk about last night?" Danielle said smiling. Gina sighed and took the seat across from Danielle. "He's in town for the next month and wants to hang out. Did you know the Carter's have a house near here?" Danielle shook her head. "No I didn't. So, are you gonna do it?" Gina looked down at her cup. "I don't know. I always dreamed about being with him again but things are so difficult."
"Do you want to hang out with him?" Danielle asked. Gina nodded. "Yeah. I guess I'll just see where this next month takes us and if I tell him about Isabelle then I tell him, if I don't then I don't." "Well," Danielle started, "I think you should tell him right away. If he falls in love with you again and then you tell him and doesn't take it well, then you both will get hurt."
Gina sighed. "I'll try my best. I mean what am I supposed to do? Ease it in to a conversation? 'What do you want to do today?' 'Oh, I don't know, go see a movie, get something to eat, hang out. Oh by the way, Isabelle is your daughter.'" Danielle reached over the table and held her hand. "You have to do this." Gina nodded. "Yeah, I know."
Danielle stood and put her cup in the sink. "What are you doing today?" She asked. "Taking Isabelle to the park. You wanna come?" Daniele shook her head. "I can't. I'm going over Walt's parents house." Gina nodded and smiled. "Ohhh, finally meeting the folks, huh?" Danielle sighed. "Yeah, I just hope they like me." "They will. Who couldn't love you?" Gina said smiling. "I have no idea." Danielle agreed. Gina laughed.
AJ put on his white wife beater and headed out back. Nick and his brother Aaron were playing basketball and AJ decided to join them. "Hey guys." AJ said as he walked up to them. "Hey." They both said. "You look like you just got out of bed." Aaron said laughing. AJ laughed sarcastically. "Real funny. Maybe thats because I did." He said as he rubbed his hand on Aarons head, messing up his hair. Aaron made a face at AJ and he laughed.
Aaron then passed Nick the ball and he shot it in. When it went through the basket he turned and faced AJ. "So, how did it go last night?" AJ smiled. "Good I guess. She looked great. I didn't think it was possiable for her to look any more beautiful." Nick smiled. "So...what happened?" "I just told her that we were gonna be here for a month and stuff. I'm gonna call her today to see if she wants to hang out." AJ said. Nick stared at him for a little. "Whats wrong?" Nick asked him. AJ shrugged his shoulders as he watched Aaron take a few shots. "Nothing." "Somethings up. I know you to well." Nick added.
AJ sighed. "She has a kid. A little girl. She's about 2, I think. She must of gotten pregnant right after we broke up." "So?" Nick said. "Just because she has a daughter doesn't make her a different person." "I know," AJ stated, "it just hurts because she obviously got over me pretty quick to find another guy that soon." AJ grabbed the ball from Aaron and made a shot. "You don't know that." Nick said. AJ sighed. "I know, but it still hurts." AJ paused for a moment. "I think I'll go call her to see whats she's doing today." AJ turned and started walking back to the house. "See ya guys later." Nick and Aaron both said 'bye' and continued taking shots.
