The rest of the week AJ spent almost every moment he could with Gina and Isabelle. He showed up at Gina's work a few times and also picked her up from some of her classes. Gina loved all the attention he was giving her but all she could think about was on Saturday he would be leaving. She had to make a decision. She had made a life here in California.
Then, at work, it hit her. It was a life she could easily change. She didn't enjoy her job all that much. Isabelle wasn't in school yet so going somewhere new wouldn't effect her all that much. And lastly, Gina graduates in a month. The only thing keeping her back was Danielle. She couldn't leave her best friend. She helped raise Isabelle and to take her away would be cruel. Gina sighed as she dumped a few plates in the sink. She didn't know what to do.
Friday afternoon Gina arrived home from her classes. Isabelle sat on the couch watching TV. Gina quickly ran over to her nad gave her a big hug. She then went in the kitchen to see Danielle. "Hey." Danielle turned from the refridgerator and smiled. "Hey! Guess what?" Danielle said with excitement. "You won a million dollors?" Gina guessed. Danielle shook her head but continued to smile. "Walt found a beautiful house in Atlanta! We're moving there in July!"
Gina sat down on a chair and looked at her confused. "Atlanta?" Danielle nodded. "Yeah. Remember, I told you. His family is from there, so when we'll be close to them. Plus, its not that far from Orlando so I can still see my family when I want to. This is so exciting. The wedding is in what...5 months?" Gina was still confused. "So, you're moving to Atlanta?" Danielle nodded. "Yeah. What is so hard to understand?" Danielle giggled then continued. "I mean, it's also good because you'll be in Kissimee with AJ."
Finally a smile appeared on Gina's face. "What?" Danielle asked, not knowing why she suddenly decided to smile. "I wasn't going to move there with him because I wanted to stay with you." Danielle's eyebrows rose. "You weren't going to live with the man of your dreams just to make me happy? Awww! I love you! But you better move in with him or I'll kill you!" Danielle said. Gina laughed. "Well, thats settled. And you can come down and see Izzy whenever you want. You can take her for a weekend or whatever. Don't be shy to ask." Gina informed her. Danielle nodded. "I won't."
Later that night AJ came over to be with Gina one last night before he had to leave. Isabelle sat on the bed with Gina laughing and playing with her Barbie. AJ came up the steps and smiled at both of them. Isabelle wrapped her arms around him when he sat down next to her. A few moments later Danielle came in the room. "Isabelle, lets get to bed girl." Isabelle shook her head. "No! Please Daniellle!" Danielle smiled. "Sorry kid. It's late." Isabelle pouted her lips.
"No, don't give me the lips." Danielle said. Finally she gave in. "Fine, you can come in my bed and sleep there, okay?" Isabelle nodded her head. "Okay!" Danielle picked her up and winked at Gina and AJ. Soon, the room was silent. AJ turned his head and looked at Gina. Without either saying anything they started to kiss.
The next morning Gina rolled over and saw AJ staring at her. She smiled at him as she laid on her side. She then rose herself up on her right arm. A wave of sadness came over her. "You have to leave in two hours." She said, barely over a whisper. AJ nodded. "I know. Come here." He said as he opened his arms.
Gina moved closer to him and then laid her body on top of him. She looked deeply into his eyes. AJ brushed a few hairs behind her ear. "I have some news." Gina said as she smiled slightly. "Yeah?" AJ smiled, hoping it was what he thought it was. "After graduation I'm moving down to Florida with you." AJ grabbed her face and kissed her. "Really?" He asked. Gina nodded.
"But there is only one thing that I'm worried about." She said, looking away. "What is it?" AJ asked concerned. Gina sighed. "I'm okay with me being put in the spotlight and being bashed and things but I'm not okay with it happining to Isabelle. I don't want her picture all over the internet." AJ sighed and nodded. "I know. It will be hard, but we can get through this. There are ways to go around it." Gina nodded and quickly kissed him. "I love you." "I love you too." AJ said with a huge smile.
A few moments later AJ left to go to the Carters to pick things up. He told Gina he'd stop back over because there was something he needed to do. A half hour later he arrived. Gina opened the door and AJ pulled her in for a passionate kiss. He pulled away and then held up her hand and slipped a diamond ring on it. Tears started to form in Gina's eyes. "The best thing that could ever happen to me is if you became my wife." Gina smiled though her tears. "The best thing that could ever happen to me is if you became my husband." Gina told him. AJ nodded. "Okay then." Gina giggled and kissed the man she loved onve again.
