**Two and a half years later**
Gina put her tray and her apron in the back of the kitchen with the rest. She picked up her purse and made her way to the front of the restaurant ready to leave. On her way her boss, Sarah, stopped her. "You're done your shift already?" She asked as she grabbed her arm. Gina nodded. "Yeah, you said I could leave at 6 today if I work on Friday." Sarah let go of her arm. "You're right. I'm sorry. I'm just really stressed about this party we have to cater on Friday. We never catered for anything this big before." "Who is it for?" Gina asked. "It's for VH1. Something that has to do with there Save the Music thing." Sarah told her. Gina smiled. "Oh wow. That's really cool." She started to walk towards the door. "I'll see ya on Friday."
Gina pulled up infront of her house and turned off the car. She sat in the drivers seat taking a moment for herself. Whenever she got a chance to have a moment to herself she took it. She looked at her house and smiled. She loved that house and was so lucky that she found such a nice house to move into for a very reasonable price. It was all in good timing. She thought maybe something was wrong with it but she has lived in it for two and a half years and hasn't found anything yet.
She had to admit that these past few years weren't easy but she knew she has it better then most people in her position. A 23 year old single mother that attends college five days a week and works three. She was very proud of herself for getting a scholorship but she has to work extra hard to keep up her grades. Gina's best friend Danielle lives with her and helps her out. Gina smiled, thinking about how grateful she was to have such a good friend. Danielle takes night classes three times a week and has a small job at school.
Gina stepped out of the car and made her way up to her home. She walked onto the pourch which extended along the whole front of the house. There were two patio chairs and a swinging love seat that sat in the corner. She made her way to the door and stepped inside. It was quiet. "Hello?" She asked as she hung up her purse on the hook next to the door. "Anybody home?" Danielle appeared from the kitchen. "Hey. Just in time for some fettuccini." Gina smiled and walked in the kitchen.
She was greeted by a warm giggle from her daughter who was sitting on the table eating a cracker. "Mommy!" Gina laughed. "Hey you. Wha'cha got there? A cracker?" Isabelle shook her head. Gina gave her a hug and a kiss then turned to Danielle who was stirring the pot. "A cracker? Before dinner?" Danielle smiled. "She looked at me with those cute dimples. I couldn't resist." Gina laughed. "You spoil her way to much." "That's what I'm here for." Danielle said.
Gina put Isabelle in her high chair and gave her, her dinner. She then sat down in her own chair while Danielle put some fettuccini on Gina's plate. Danielle put some on her own plate and then sat down to join them. "I'm sorry you have to stay home Friday night." Gina said. Danielle shook her head. "I told you I don't mind. As long as your making money. Walt will probably come by to hang out." Gina nodded. "Okay. You sure you don't mind." Danielle smiled. "I'm sure. Besides, who would not want to hang out with that cool chick." Danielle said pointing to Isabelle. "Not cool." Isabelle said. Danielle laughed. "You're not cool?" Isabelle smiled. "No, you." Gina laughed. "Ohhh she said you ain't cool. Oh she told you girl." Danielle gasped. "And I watched Sesame Street with you." Isabelle giggled.
"So, who's this party for anyway?" Danielle asked Gina. "VH1's Save the music." "That's cool. Is it a concert or something?" Gina nodded. "Yeah I think. Someone is having a concert then an after party so we have to cater the after party. Which means it probably won't even start until 10:30." "Who's is having the concert?" Danielle asked. Gina shrugged her shoulders. "I have no clue."
AJ pulled some of his clothes off the hangers from the closet and put them in the suitcase that sat on the bed. Samantha was seated next to the suitcase on the bed. "I don't believe this." She said. "What's not to believe?" AJ asked glancing at her and then quickly turning to get some things from the bathroom.
"I told you months ago about this concert." AJ yelled from the bathroom. "You didn't tell me it was in California and you didn't tell me you are staying there for a month. Who are you even going to stay with?" AJ groaned as he walked back into the room. "Don't you ever listen to anything I say? Nick's staying with his family and he said I can stay at their house too." Samantha sighed. "But this was our month. We were supposed to spend time together."
AJ shrugged his shoulders as he zipped up his suitcase. "Plans change, Sam." Samantha scoffed. "What you don't want to be with me anymore?" She asked as she followed him down the steps. AJ grabbed his keys off the coffee table. "Look I gotta go." "You walk out that door and we are through." Samantha said crossing her arms. AJ opened the door. "Fine. Lock up when you leave." AJ said before slamming the door shut.
