Thomas V. Edmonds

(Co. D) Thomas was born in the Baltimore, MD area ca. 1841. He was the son of Thomas Edmonds and Margaret A. (?). He enlisted at Stribling Springs on Jan 1, 1863 and was on the last muster roll on Oct 31, 1864. He married Emily Margaret Long, daughter of George M. and Barbara (Bowman) Long, at Shenandoah County, VA on Jan. 10, 1869. They moved that year to Connellsville, PA where he went to work for the B&O railroad (the one the 18th. spent so much time tearing up during the war) as a carpenter. Thomas died in 1911 and is buried at Hill Grove cemetery at Connellsville, PA. The photo was taken at Connellsville, PA
