Some short, but worthwhile snow shoe trips:
We will be doing trips to the above locations very soon (as per the snow levels allow).
Most trips will involve a short (around one mile) hike in to an area or attraction for a lunch. Most of the areas are very scenic and/or unique.
Snowshoeing is most fun when you are not competing with hikers, snowmobilers, and skiers for the trails.
NOTE: I can't tell you how many times in the past I have
cross-country skied on trails (designated ski trails) that were ruined by snowshoer's.
If you are planning a snowshoe trip, please be courteous and stay off ALL cross country ski trails, whether they are designated, marked trails, or just tracks somebody set in the woods. Remember, the MAIN function of snowshoes is to navigate in deep snow. They give you the opportunity to hike into the deep woods off trail! You can go wherever you like, so please don't walk on somebody else's ski tracks and ruin the day for others.
