The Allegheny Outdoor
Adventures website, is about recreational activities in the Allegheny National Forest & Allegany
State Park areas in north western New York and Pennsylvania. We are a group of
environmentally conscious "explorers" interested in trips that
might include, but not limited to: caving, hiking, backpacking, camping,
mountain biking, canoing, kayaking, rock exploring, rock climbing, spelunking,
rappelling, swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, winter camping,
bird watching, X-Country skiing and Geocaching. We always leave the trails/sites better than we found them, often carrying out litter left by others. Our trips center around Bradford in McKean County Pennsylvania, but often venture into the surrounding counties in Western New York and Western Pennsylvania. We are a "loose knit" group that has no membership requirements. Like-minded, environmentally friendly individuals are welcome on all our trips. We describe all events before hand on our "Upcoming Trips Page" found off our main page: We usually meet up, and share transportation and often have transport vans. Meeting times and places are posted usually about a week before the event, AND you can get on our e-mail list to receive announcements of our upcoming and recent past trips that we send out about twice a week by sending an e-mail to:
