Phillip was born in Raliegh,N.C. on April 9,1980. When he was 2 yrs. old we learned of him being a special needs child. His brain works faster than his communication skills. He was very bright and had a keen memory. He was always a happy boy who loved everyone. He woke up happy and singing every morning and went to bed the same way at night. He loved many things. His favorite tv show was Family Matters,his favorite cartoon was the Road Runner,he always felt sorry for the coyote. He loved game shows his favorite was Wheel of Fortune. He loved Ninja Turtle and Mighty Duck movies. He also liked Inspector Gadget a lot too.He loved music his favorite artist was Gloria Estefan. He loved her so much that when a special work program was formed for him in the summer of 95 the money we allowed him to keep from his first check went to buy a Gloria Estefan tape. He knew just which one he wanted and what his favorite song was on it. The song was Live for loving you. This song title speaks well about my son as well. For that was what he did he lived to love others. He was very caring about others and was eager to please all. He liked to help with childrens charities. He got great satisfaction in helping. His memory amazed all he could memorize lyrics from songs. He could remember movies and tv shows word for word. Games he could remember all the answers and puzzles. He also loved geography,he knew states and capitals and the capitals of most countries. He even knew the flags for each country and state. He was one amazing boy all that met him were touched by his gift of memory and his sensitive side as well. He was truly one wonderful boy and son. I will share in many things in pages to follow about this boy and his love of others and events. You will also learn of the impact he had in other peoples lives as well. In my writings I hope you go away with the sense of knowing him and learn that the other special needs children are in many ways the same as us.What they want more than anything is just a friend and to be treated the same. They just need a little extra help with some things that's the only difference there is.
