Ok, The Erie Central High School Marching Band needs members. If you are in the city of Erie, are in grade 8-12, go to Central , Academy, or any of the middle schools, you can join. You don't even need to know how to read music, we can teach you. Perform with the Central Band in most parts of Pennsylvania. Compete in the Lakeshore Marching Band Association (LMBA) and Tournament of Bands (TOB) circuits.

Winners of numerous local and national awards and honors after years of hard work and dedication to excellence. The 1991 Bands of America (BOA) Class A Grand Champions, 10 time LMBA Champions, and most recently, the band has qualified to compete in TOB's Atlantic Coast Championships held at Lackawannna County Stadium in Scranton, PA and finished 24th out of 90 bands.

The Central Band experience helps instill values of discipline and dedication that are carried on into college and careers. The band has the highest acedemic record and continues to maintain excellence in the school.

The Central Band takes a fun trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL every two years. We march in the "Disney Magic Music Days" parade and are ranked in the top 10 of bands that march that parade.

To join, pick up an Application at the Central High School Band Room (Rm. 123) and give to the director (Ms. Jaworowski) or call the band room at 871-6218 and ask for the band director (you may have to redial the number because the band room & chior room are on the same line).
