OLW - Outer Limits Wrestling
Ariel Armory - Neptune
**The show opens with pyrotechnics and a lighting show, as the lively fans cheer for their favorite promotion. On hand is a scheduled tag team title match, as well as an OLW title match for the evening featuring the first OLW meeting of Crow and Dogma. OLW owner Hooker is shown backstage watching from behind the curtain with a large smile on his face.
*The Illusionaries vs. Halcon Oro/Super Gato. In the opening match of the evening, Amorphous starts things off in his normal unorthodox manner with a leg cradle, but Gato demonstrates his own agility by rolling through and catching Amorhpous with a flying arm drag. However, as Gato tries to whip Amorphous into the turnbuckle, Amorphous slides under the bottom rope, and manages to sweep Gato out of the ring with him. Diplopia follows with a clothesline to the outside, and in an attempt to save his partner from the double team, Halcon Oro leaps up with a suicide dive, but Amorphous, sensing the danger, avoids it so that only Gato and Diplopia feel the impact of the move. Amorphous capitalizes on the situation with Gato and the Illusionaries keep control of the match until Gato manages to make a blind tag to Oro. Halcon Oro comes strong with a springboard dropkick to the back of Diplopia, and handles both members of the Illusionaries. However, he makes the mistake of working specifically on Amorphous, while Diplopia, the legal man, catches Oro with a sunset flip off the top rope to steal the pinfall.
**OLW owner, Hooker, comes out to the ring and receives a solid ovation from the crowd. He thanks them as usual for supporting OLW, and announces that he has signed a major star from a few years ago, “Hotshot” Mike Stewart. Though Stewart has had a prestigious career in the past, he has been washed up in the independent scene for the last few years, so not all of the crowd knows how to react. Somewhat disappointed by the reaction, Hooker states that Stewart will be making his way to the arena later in the program.
*”The Incognito” vs. Samsa. The two face off in the middle of the ring, conservative in the opening minutes of the match. However, Niccolo Alighieri finally decides to take the initiative by hitting a duck-under and a full nelson face drop to blow the match wide open. The Incognito Alighieri then uses an Italian boot to the face, but misses the flying knee, giving Samsa the clear advantage. The Dogma protege wastes no time with the opportunity and squashes Alighieri in the turnbuckle with a running clothesline. Samsa then brings in a chair and procedes to piledrive the Incognito on to it four times in a row. With the cover, all looks to be lost, but Alighieri kicks out. Samsa runs off the ropes and delivers a dazzling Asai moonsault, but with the same result. The Incognito then mounts a comeback, and seems to be on the verge of victory as he sets Samsa on the top turnbuckle for the MIDNIGHT JOYRIDE, but Samsa gains his last bit of sense and chokeslams Alighieri off the top rope. DIE VERWANDLUNG follows next and spells doom for the Incognito, as Samsa walks away with the win.
**A reporter catches up with Alighieri after the match and asks him about his identity. Unfortunately, she does not receive the answer she was looking for.
Alighieri: “You people billa me asa the Incognito, when I tella you to calla me Niccolo Alighieri. Thata is my name, and whata I shall be known as.”
Reporter: “Mr. Alighieri, what do you have to say about the speculations on your past?”
Alighieri: “That isa my business toa take care of. You no needa worry abouta that.”
**The next match features two rising young superstars, and one of them offers a few words before the match.
Cameron: “Super Destroyer, I’ve seen you on tapes and tapes, and frankly, you don’t impress me all that much. Sure, they say we’re similar in style, and that we’re both the up-and-coming stars of Outer Limits Wrestling, but tonight, there is only room for one of us to go forward, while the other takes a step back. And I don’t intend to stray from my course any time soon... that is, to the top!”
*”Hammerin’” Jeff Cameron vs. Super Destroyer. In a match between two powerhouses, the intensity level without a doubt runs right through the roof throughout this contest. The two athletes continuously pound each other with their most vicious moves, but after a few minutes, Cameron is the one who begins to slow down first. Super Destroyer, sensing that he is in better shape, takes advantage of the situation and, sensing victory, hits a slingshot superplex and the JACKNIFE DRIVER. However, Cameron reaches deep down and manages to kick out. Super Destroyer continues to throw everything in his arsenal at Cameron, and though each maneuver knocks Cameron down, the young newcomer refuses to stay put. The match continues in this fasion, as Cameron appears to be running on his last engines, when Super Destroyer makes a mistake and allows Cameron to take the match out on to the floor. With the Destroyer down, Cameron receives some recovery time to catch his breath, and comes back with gusto. A hammer to the nose busts Super Destroyer wide open, but then followed by a forward suplex into the guardrail, and a “Vader clap” from the top rope, Super Destroyer appears to be in great trouble. Cameron then rolls Super Destroyer into the ring and gives him some vicious punches, before hitting the SLEDGEHAMMER SLIDE to keep Super Destroyer down for good.
**Sean “Pitbull” Davis, the number one contender to the cruiserweight belt who will challenge Kentashi Kaboom at the next card, is asked of his opinion between the next two cruiserweights on the card. Davis, who doesn’t seem to hold a high opinion of either of them, gives his answer in a blunt form.
Davis: “Which one do I pick? I pick Mascara del Muerte, since I wouldn’t mind kicking the shit out of him once I’m the cruiserweight champ. No, I’ll take Yoshimitsu. That UFO-wanna-be freak will certainly be an “unidentifiable flying object” once I’m through with him. No wait, what if I pick neither and the two duke it out to a draw? Then I can kick both of their asses once I take the cruiserweight championship from that lame-ass gimp, Kentashi Kaboom.”
*Yoshimitsu vs. Mascara del Muerte. It is rumored that the owner of OLW, Hooker, plans on giving the winner of this match a title shot at the cruiserweight title. However, this match was all Yoshimitsu, as the mysterious new cruiserweight thoroughly dominates the former cruiserweight champ. Muerte manages to get a reverse underhook DDT in on the mysterious Yoshimitsu, but his opponent hammers him with a springboard bulldog, a devastating roundoff-into-a-backflip avalanche, and a Senton Bomb using the steel chair. Within minutes, Yoshimitsu plants his right foot into Muerte’s jaw with the Yoshimitsu Kick followed by the “unidentified flying object--” known as the UFO PRESS. Muerte reaches the ropes out of desperation, but Yoshimitsu only brings Mascara del Muerte back into the ring to finish him off with a somersault Rocker Dropper.
**After the match, Mascara del Muerte allows himself to be humiliated further, when he attempts to ambush Yoshimitsu after the match, only to be met with another Yoshimitsu Kick for his troubles.
**Dalton Storm stands by in the back, as he is questioned about who he thinks will win the highly anticipated main event match of the evening between Dogma and Crow. He considers the question for a couple of minutes before giving his pick.
Storm: “In all honesty, I’ve watched both men in action for years, and both athletes are phenomenal. They have a great sense of tenacity in them, and neither man will be willing to quit to the other quite so easily. I’ve seen Dogma pound the hell out of Crow, and vice versa, the question that you’re really asking is who I think will be the better man tonight. Well, I’m just as well off flipping a coin, but I’ll take the champ, Dogma, as my favorite.”
Reporter: “Mr. Storm, for the next card, you’re scheduled to take on an individual known as X-Treme, who has been grumbling as of late about how he no longer gets the respect he deserves. What do you have to say about that?”
Storm: “While X-Treme may have played a large role in pioneering the hardcore aspects of the sport, he has to realize that the sport has evolved with him, and that he is a pioneer no longer. Sure, he has seen his day in the sun-- at one time he was the most widely known independent star around, but it’s just simply his time to move on and let others carry the torch. Oh, and if he wants to keep claiming that he is the inventor of the hardcore style and is by default the best, I’m a practician of the technical school, Mr. X-Treme. No excuses for the loser, and may the best man win.”
**Dante stands by in the back, as he offers some words concerning his next match with Wolfen. The Intergalactic Bounty Hunter appears on camera with a fishing hook in his right hand, and some fishing line in his left hand.
Dante: “Wolfen, I reckon that you’ll be as easy for me to catch as a fish out of water. I’ll just have to stick this line in, and allow you to then get yourself caught. Sucker, you realize how important this match is for both of us, but only one of us can reap the benefits-- and I happen to excel at bringing in the cash trophies after a day on the hunt.”
**Wolfen comes down to the ring with a good-sized crowd pop. The fans seem to love him, and he acknowledges them with a large Wolf-style howl and raising his right claw (a la The Big Show). Wofen then takes the mic and offers a few words before the match.
Wolfen: “Dante, I come here tonight for two reasons, to kick some ass, and to let the fans enjoy it. You come out here, and you think you’re going to be fishing with your hook and line; well, I’ll tell you what you can do, you can come down here and fish for my one-eyed trouser trout, you dirty son of a bitch!”
(Dante charges down the ramp, and the match begins in the middle of the ring).
*Wolfen vs. Dante. Wolfen attacks Dante from the outset, and nearly controls the match in its entirety, but has great difficulty putting away the rule-breaking veteran, Dante. While Wolfen impresses the crowd with his finesse and perfect execution for nearly ten minutes straight, Dante manages to pick up a short cut every here and there that seem to annoy Wolfen, but not to the point of slowing him down. Instead, the semi-psychotic Wolfen maintains his game and dominates Dante with his combination of mindless savageness and intelligent thought. Wolfen proceeds to strike Dante with several savatte kicks, and at times, Dante seems to be wrestling half-consciously as a result of the kicks, but Wolfen still cannot manage to garner the three count for his efforts. Dante finds a way to reach the ropes on several occasions, and in other times, a cheap tactic such as the use of the tights would prolong the match for the bounty hunter. A Wolfen Skullcrusher into the SAVAGE FACE CLAW almost spells certain doom for Dante, but the fishing hook to the throat breaks up that predicament in a hurry. A frustrated Wolfen then hurls Dante into the ropes, but ducks his head too low as Dante responds with a nearly fatal sunset flip. As both men scramble to their feet, Dante rises first, and hits the BIG BANG on Wolfen, and that one move proves to be enough to earn him the victory for the night.
**Von Braun is shown waiting outside of the arena by his motorcycle, perhaps waiting for his biker buddies, when OLW’s newest signing, “Hotshot” Mike Stewart enters the arena with a duffle bag. The two collide shoulders, which angers Von Braun, and not knowing the importance of Stewart begins to trash talk.
Von Braun: “Hey look, asshole. Watch where you’re going next time.”
Mike Stewart: “I know where I’m going. It’s just you need to get out of the way next time.”
Von Braun: “Hey, who the hell ya think you are?”
Mike Stewart: “I don’t have the time to spend with nimwitted boneheads like you.”
(Von Braun and Mike Stewart begin to brawl. Stewart battles Von Braun to the ground and locks him in a headlock. Officials rush to the scene to separate them. As the two get pulled apart, Von Braun gives Stewart a vicious punch to the face with his chain.)
Von Braun: Okay, you win this time.
**An angered Hooker ejects both men from the arena and fines them both for unsportsmanlike conduct outside of the ring. The fans still get a glimpse of Hooker’s newest signing, however, and appreciate the fact that Hooker has signed a match between the two to take place at the next card.
**A Salem’s Lot highlight video is played for the crowd, before Salem’s Lot is called out for a few brief prematch words. The tag team champions answer the call while wearing their prized belts, and offer this to say about the Dragons.
Adam Warlock: “The Dragons are a dangerous team. They are big and they’re strong, and you can’t tell one from another, but don’t worry about them. Damien and I will take care of Taka-what-su and Koshi-something just like we take care of our other business.”
Damien Hellstrom: “Warlock and I have held these belts with pride, and you can rest assure that we’re not done holding them yet.”
*Salem’s Lot (t) vs. The Dragons - OLW tag team title match. Koshiado comes on strong in the opening minutes of the bout, as he overpowers both of the tag team champs, before settling in on Adam Warlock. After a near-pin with a Dragon Drop, Koshiado allows Warlock to slip away and tag his partner, with the momentum swinging back in favor of the champs. Hellstrom dominates over Koshiado, as he nails him with several shots with the trident and a top rope chairshot that send Koshiado clear into next Tuesday. Hellstrom then maintains Koshiado in his corner of the ring, as Salem’s Lot continues to torture their challenger. Koshiado comes fighting back against Warlock, but almost falls prey to a sunset flip. Hellstrom strikes Koshiado with a glass bottle and gives him a single-arm DDT as Salem’s Lot continues to keep control. However, Warlock gives Koshiado another opportunity to tag when a DDT on to a chair backfires, and Koshiado reaches his partner. Takamatsu instantly goes to work on Warlock with his forearm ravager, but eventually succumbs to the cunning ring psychology of Salem’s Lot, who manage to draw Takamatsu into their corner and double-team him. Minutes later, Hellstrom brings out the folding table and ladder and executes the 666 to pin Takamatsu, as Salem’s Lot retains the OLW tag team belts.
**”Simply” Brad Dagger arrives in the building, most probably as a scout for Eddie Dean in the Dogma/Crow match. When asked for his opinion for either athlete, he says that Dean can beat either one, but that he sides with Crow in this contest simply because he has a “more hardcore edge.” Dagger then offers a few comments about his upcoming tag match pitting him and Dean against Jackson Fury and Kanazawa.
“Simply” Brad Dagger: “How many times does my man, Eddie Dean, have to beat that shitless scumbag, Kanazawa, to prove to you that he’s the better man? And as for Jackson Fury, I’ve proven time and again that I can handle him as well. Dean and I are the future of OLW whether you like it or not. And when we triumphantly crush those two losers in Fury and Kanazawa, Dean and I will have bigger fish to fry. Who is that? Well, that’s what I’m here for, in tonight’s main event.”
**The Champ awaits backstage for his in-ring entrance, though he does not look very healthy, even with a mask covering his face. His eyes give the camera an empty gaze, and he breathes heavily while he tightly grasps his OLW belt with his already sweating hands. The champ bounces around a little to get warmed up, but not with the spirit that one might expect from a competitor about to enter in a big matchup.
*Dogma (c) vs. Crow - OLW title match. The first meeting between these two individuals ends in a fluke. In a more than lackluster match, Crow takes the early advantage over the hooded Nicaraguan with a front facelock and grounds him for several minutes, before coming off the ropes with a flying tackle that sends Dogma out of the ring. Crow goes out and slams Dogma into the ringpost before throwing him back inside of the ring and finishing him off with a dive off the top rope to become the new OLW champion.
