OLW Outer Limits Wrestling #23
Oberon, Uranus
**Start of program. Kanazawa comes down to the ring and demands a title shot by virtue of his defeat over Jackson Fury at the last card. This draws out Eddie Dean and Jackson Fury, who are against giving Kanazawa his title shot.
Dean: "Wait a second, you think you deserve a title shot because you beat my good buddy Jackson Fury one time? As I recall he's beaten you many more times than that. And we all know that there is no way in hell that you could match talent with a guy like me, so if I were to give you a shot at this baby, we'd be wasting my time, and the fan's time!"
(Kanazawa cocks his fist back to strike, but Hooker intervenes from the rampway and makes his way down to ringside.)
Hooker: "Mr. Dean, you have assisted me in achieving great projects, and I am grateful for that, but at the same time, this is a wrestling promotion, and the champion must defend his title. Therefore, I agree with Kanazawa's case, and you WILL defend the belt tonight!"
(look of shock sweeps over on Eddie Dean's face)
Hooker: "And in addition, you, Mr. Fury, also have a match tonight against the athlete known as Dogma! But on to other business, while I am out here, I would like to announce to the fans that an OLW cruiserweight belt will be installed at the conclusion of an eight-man bracketed tournament that will begin tonight!"
(roaring crowd reaction)
Hooker: "So without further ado, if you gentlemen would be so kind to GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE, I bring you the first match of the OLW cruiserweght championship tournament, Kentashi Kaboom vs. Shinji Ikari!"
*Kentashi Kaboom vs. Mascara del Muerte. This is a first round match for the OLW cruiserweight title, and the two opponents do an excellent job of leading this tournament off. Kaboom sets the tempo early, abandoning his mat attack and taking to the sky. Mascara del Muerte follows suit, but gets caught with a sunset flip/victory roll out of the turnbuckle in which Kaboom is able pick up the pin with.
**The rWo comes out in full force, with "Hollywood Hunk" Huggins leading the pack, followed by Da Macho Guy and his lovely valet, Liza. They bore the crowd with their posedowns, as the crowd chants "POSERS!" to their frustration. Huggins takes the mic and gets down to business.
"Hollywood Hunk" Huggins: "You know something, Hunkamaniacs, what pisses me off more than anything man, is when this Aaron Luke guy comes in and ruins our show. You see, brother, we are the Renewed World Order, we will take over this entire federation whether you like it or not, because nothing beats the training, the prayers, or the vitamins when you believe in yourself. I'm in wrestling for the love of the business, man. That's the goddamn truth."
(negative crowd pop)
Huggins: "So let's say it like this, brother. At No Man's Land, you pick any two wrestlers of your choice to represent you, and Da Macho Guy and me will take on them."
Da Macho Guy: "Ooooohh yeah! Digit!"
*Dante vs. Onyx. Onyx has been struggling desperately in the "loss" column of OLW lately, as he tries to pull one for the other column. He fights on for dear life, but cannot put away Dante, despite his best efforts. Dante finishes the Omicronian with two STUNNERS to take the win via pinfall.
**Jackson Fury comes down to the ring not looking happy at all. He heads over to the announcer's booth and picks up a headset.
Jackson Fury: "Hooker, you know damn well that I'm pissed as hell at you right now. But Dogma, I know you're watching back there somewhere. You may have gotten your match with me tonight that I don't remember signing, but damnit, if you really think you've got what it takes to take it "hardcore" like so many other gimps have said, I say why don't you and me upgrade our coming match into a no-rope barbed wire affiar?"
*Shinji Ikari vs. Super Gato. This is the second match of the cruiserweight tournament that started earlier in the night. The two youngsters display great mastery of the art of high-flying, as both cruise through the air with great ease. In addition, they put on a grueling contest of landing devastating moves, and countering their opponent's attacks that leaves to a heart-pounding see-saw matchup. However, as Ikari goes up the top rope to hit a moonsault on a standing Gato, the luchador senses the attack and lands a high dropkick to Ikari's knee, crotching Ikari across the top turnbuckle. Gato climbs out and up the turnbuckle to land a devastating tornado DDT that proves to be the winning move of the match as he advances to face Kentashi Kaboom.
**Backstage, the "revolutionary" Eddie Dean ponders backstage about his stragedy to use against Kanazawa.
**Mighty Grogan comes down to ringside, to let out a rant about the "state of wrestling" today. He complains that while he was being visciously attacked by Von Braun and other rulebreakers at previous cards, the fans cheered his advesaries on, and delighted in seeing the great mat star being pummeled. Grogan continues to whine about OLW in a million and one different ways before Ballistic comes out to meet him in the next match.
*Mighty Grogan vs. Ballistic. Grogan locks the UPPER CRUSH on Ballistic several times, but Ballistic manages to fight out of it on every occasion. Infuriated, Grogan resorts to "dirty tactics" that he had long been preaching against, and snatches Ballistic in another UPPER CRUSH, this time for good.
**Grogan takes the mic and tells Von Braun that he's next.
*Dogma vs. Jackson Fury (no-rope barbed wire match). After allowing time for the personnel to change the ropes and wrap the barbed wire around them, Dogma and Fury begin a heated battle with little scientific moves, and more of the brutality known in each other's styles. The first use of the wires comes when Dogma whips Fury into one side, Fury slides under, and Dogma flies over the top strand with a chairsault plancha (from Fury's chair)! Dogma smashes Fury's face into the barbed wire from the outside, before rolling him back in. Fury later gets revenge when he picks Dogma up in a back bodydrop position and sits into the barbed wire. Both men intertwined in the wire, the referee has to free them both. However, a hotshot from Dogma sends a bloody Fury out of the ring, where Dogma locks on the GRINDER. Fury screams, but no decision can be rendered on the floor, so Dogma takes him back inside and gets a submission from Fury with the GRINDER.
**The Estorians come down in the ring, as the barbed wire strands still hang loosely around the cornerposts, and challenge Stingray. Stingray comes out and answers the challenge, and promises to take both men out himself.
*Stingray vs. The Estorians - handicap match. Stingray manages for himself in the early moments, as a double team attack by the OLW tag champions fails, and Stingray manages to tie one up in the barbed wire, while concentrating on the other. At one point, Stingray pulls out his scissors, as he tries to cut and paste a piece out of Parsec's eyes, but Tantalis sets Stingray up for the SUPERKICK, and with both Estorians holding Stingray to the mat, pick up the pin.
**The Estorians taunt Stingray for his loss. Stingray, still groggy from his defeat, picks up the microphone.
Stingray: "All right, I've had enough from the two of you bastards. Two on one, I can't win. But I'm gonna challenge you for those tag team straps you hold around your waists, and I bet you I'll punk your asses out. I'll bring my own partner, you worry about keeping your belts, and I'll see you at No Man's Land."
**Dogma is interviewed backstage, where the masked Nicaraguan seems as determined as ever at getting the next title shot, whomever that may be at the conclusion of the night's event.
*"The Extremist" Eddie Dean vs. Kanazawa. The two put on a heated contest, as both men take the action to the limits, and Kanazawa appears on the verge of winning when he hits a splash off the top ropes through a table and on to the floor on the incumbent OLW champ. However, Jackson Fury comes down to save the day as he nails Kanazawa with a flaming chair and a gruesome temple kick to help Dean set up for the EXTREME PLUNGE. Dean barely makes the cover, as he gets the three count and retains his OLW prize, and we fade to black.
