FWA Frontier Visions #9
Brymstone BattleDome, Betelgeuse, Orion
**The program starts off as the "most electrifying gigolo in sports entertainment" comes down and does his bit, auctioning his services to the highest female bidder in the audience. The last two bidders are a fat ugly bitch, and a fine looking blonde. The fat ugly bitch bids highest, but Brewer raises his eyebrow, and invites the younger, prettier girl up anyway...
Brewer: "So out of the millions upon millions of the Rex's fans all across the galaxy, tonight you have been deemed the 'Chosen One' because once I'm through making sure Iron Bull knows his role and checks his ass into the Whackdown Hotel, I'll be strappin' this belt back around my waist, only to be taking it off a little bit later, when you and I check into *my* Whackdown Hotel. And then, you and I... and the "Great One" (suggestingly looks down toward his crotch), will get it on all night long, if you smeeeell what the Rex is brewin'!"
*Richard Banks vs. Yojiri Onita. Onita takes this match out of the ring early one with a deadly springboard leg drop through a table on the floor, but Banks has no problem fighting on the outside. The two brawl savagely through the crowd, as at one high point, Banks hits a chair vault plancha *over* two standing spectators, and on to Onita! Banks takes this match home though, when he nails Onita with a balcony dive RIOT ACT, before dragging him back inside the ring for the pin.
**Almost immediately after the three count, out from the crowd, Sean Mikkal Deveroux leaps up the top turnbuckle and plants Banks with a gruesome elbow to the back of the neck. SMD further pummels Banks, before lifting his head off the ground
SMD: "Who the hell do you think you are? But let me ask you, who's the fuckin' show? Who's the fuckin' show?"
Richard Banks: "Your mom!"
(SMD punches Banks across the nose and causes it to bleed)
SMD: "Let's try this again. Who the hell is the fuckin' show around here?... Thank you, and remember that!"
(SMD slams Banks' face back on the mat and heads out to a chorus of boos)
**Eric "Leather" Hyde comes down to the ring and challenges Raza to put the belt on the line, after Hyde tore Axiom Ukase up with his deadly arsenal of suplexes...
Hyde: "You think you're the human suplex machine? Well, I've got news for *you,* brother, as I have a legitimate amateur background, my closet's fuller than you're entire house probably, and I challenge you to show just what kind of suplexing skill you've got against a true practicioner of the game like myself! I haven't heard from you, brother, and I'm starting to wonder why!"
(Raza comes out with his belt around his waist, and stares Hyde down nose to nose, when "Hearthrob" Chris Chandler intervenes between the two and speaks.)
"Hearthrob": "Look fellas, you can bicker all night about who the human suplex machine is, but everyone knows that the HEARTBREAK SUPLEX is the deadliest suplex there is, and no one has ever kicked out of it yet. You know I got cheated out of an FWA TV title opportunity, I'm not getting screwed out of this one. Sign the match, Hyde, and we'll see who's the better at delivering the suplex. And the winner can go on to challenge this poser!"
(Raza looks pissed, but restrains himself from attacking, as we have a mutual agreement from all parties).
*R.K. Oasis vs. Lonestar. RK gets a few early shots, nailing Lonestar hard with a steel chair, but what goes around comes around as Lonestar uses that very dented chair to deliver a devastating DVD on to it. Lonestar then snaps loose and delivers two straight STRAY BULLETS to leave RK seeing the birds, as he gets the three count without much of a contest.
**After the match, Lonestar gets punked by a young kid in shades. The stranger continues to beat up on Lonestar until RK manages to recover and join the youngster. The two pummel Lonestar, and tie him up in the ropes.
RK Oasis: "Lonestar, you might have been the better man tonight. But you can never be among the elite. Me and Johnny Vargo are up there, we rule the top, and we will always look better than you!"
Johnny Vargo: "Hell yeah, FWA watch out, 'cause here we come!"
(Vargo spits in Lonestar's face, as the mentor/protege leave together.)
**"Devious" Scott Deville is shown in the back, as he says that he's "got plans" for tonight, in regards to his comments about securing the FWA TV belt for his own.
"Devious" Scott Deville: "I said that belt was coming right to me, and goddamn it, I fuckin' meant it. Remember that Iron Bull only got this title shot tonight because I willed it. If he wins it tonight, it will also be because I willed it. But that strap will belong to me!"
**"Traitor" Blast runs off a shoot about many of the workers in the promotion, especially Tommy Leech, Iron Bull, and Raza. It is clear that Blast is not concerned with making many friends around this area, but is looking to continue the reputation that has been built of him.
**Earlier in the week, Deadlock couldn't wait for his match tonight against Demise, so he challenged the Death Dealer to an encounter in the old scrapyard privately in an unsanctioned FWA match. Though the FWA execs caught footage on video, the television company that we are in agreement with originally would not let us show this match, but fuck the censors!
*Demise vs. Deadlock - scrapyard death match. The two wasted no time in this match, as they made good use of the scrapyard from the start. Pipelines, beer bottles, etc. were used openly in this match as the two wasted no time beating the hell out of each other. At one point, Demise climbed up a stack of cars. Deadlock climbed up with him and began a slugfest at the very top. Both men ended up falling over the edge in a brutal bump of the night. Deadlock continued to look strong when he placed Demise under the hood of a car and landed an elbow drop, sandwiching Demise in between the still-hot engine, but Demise would not give - yet. The Death Dealer came up with a spinning tombstone, a shot with a tire iron, and a HEADSTONE DRIVER before Deadlock was laid out cold on the ground. Both men were bleeding profusely, though Deadlock was apparently out, and required the EMT's to rush him to the hospital.
**Interview with Deadlock. Deadlock still has his arm wrapped, and looks to be in pain, but Deadlock won't make anything out of it. He speaks harshly against Demise.
Deadlock: "Demise, you may have gotten the better of me last time, bro, but you're goin' down tonight! I'm gonna whoop your ass like it's been comin' for you from a mile away, and knock you out silly like you did to me. It's all good, I'm feelin' fine, but that's more than you'll be able to say at the end of tonight!"
*Demise vs. Deadlock. This is the match that was scheduled to take place at this card. The two brawl it out toe to toe, with both men inflicting equal damage, at least in the early run. Highlights of the match include Demise hitting a spinning tombstone off of the apron and on to the floor. Deadlock barely hung on after that move, but caught Demise in midair off the top rope, when he vaulted off of a chair placed in the middle of the ring to execute a wicked looking Liger bomb from six feet off the canvas! (I guess it wouldn't be a running Liger bomb then. Leaping Liger bomb?) However, Deadlock's sore back gave out as he tried to pick up Demise, opening up the opportunity for Demise to hit a HEADSTONE DRIVER to get the pin.
**After the match, Demise took to the mic for the first time since his arrival in the Frontier Wrestling Association.
Demise: "...Underling! You are foolish to try to stand up to the Death Dealer! I've got bigger plans in store for the FWA, you're merely a stepping stone to help me achieve those plans. First, I will clean out the FWA of its weak, moronic imbeciles running around like they're gods, then I shall rule supreme over this crummy fed! Call me out again, and you will regret it. I have connections all around that will make you pay for your insolence!"
**A promotional video of Ken West is played, entitled "The Ace on the Road." The video includes clips of West traveling around the streets of Vegas, and other casino sites, as well as some clips of his wrestling matches from his illustrious career. As four or five clips of West's X-Factor on the chair are shown, West ends the video with the lasting though, "Always bet on the Ace!"
**Raza comes down to the ring and begins to speak out against Eric Hyde, an opportunity he missed earlier.
Raza: "You think you're better at the suplex? Well brotha, I hope you can back up what you're sayin', cause the Human Suplex Machine himself is feelin' really pissed that someone thinks he can stand up and steal my nickname like that. Brotha, don't count on taking this belt from me, it's not leavin' my waist in your hands. But we'll see how you do tonight. You get past the "Hearthrob," and I'll take you on your challenge. But you know brotha, you can try all you want to beat me, but SURVIVE... if I let you!"
(Hyde comes down to the ring, and engages a shoving match with Raza. Raza shoves him back, but opens his mouth once more)
Raza: "Save it! I'll see you after the match!"
(Raza leaves as the "Hearthrob" enters the ring)
*Eric "Leather" Hyde vs. "Hearthrob" Chris Chandler. The real question here is whether the well-conditioned athlete that is "tough as leather" can withstand the impact of the HEARTBREAK SUPLEX or not. However, most of the match is really a match of power vs. agility. Chandler gets out of Hyde's grasp a few times, as he gracefully executes a cartwheel to taunt Hyde. However, Chandler's lack of focus comes to haunt him. His brief moment of showboating while he had the advantage did not lead directly into trouble, but gave Hyde enough energy to come back a couple moves later, en route to Hyde's SPLIT THE MIDDLE which gets him the pin over Chandler.
**After the match, Chandler massages his head, as he hits a kip-up off the ground, attacks an unsuspecting Hyde from behind, and hits the HEARTBREAK SUPLEX for his trouble. Hyde apparently lies down motionless. Chandler kicks the limp body a few times, takes him for being out like his other victims, and heads out of the ring. However, no sooner than after Chandler's feet hits the floor does Hyde begin to stir, and in no time, Hyde makes it groggily to his feet, proving that he can get up from the suplex, though he was lifeless only a few brief moments ago. Chandler looks stunned, as Hyde sends him back to the lockeroom, and formally challenges Raza for the FWA title again.
*Rex Brewer vs. Tommy "Iron Bull" Silvano. Brewer struggles desperately in this match, as Iron Bull completely tears Brewer apart and leaves him no "outs" whatsoever. Brewer endures some solid punishment, nothing too memorable, though a nerve in his back seemed to go out when Iron Bull literally hurled him off a table and into the crowd and the cement floor with a huge hip toss. Iron Bull appears on the verge of victory when he hits the LEATHER DYNAMITE, but he takes the ref out in the process. "Devious" Scott Deville then comes out of nowhere and nails Iron Bull with a crashing chair shot that is heard all over the arena. He then hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and pulls Rex Brewer over top of a downed Iron Bull as he makes the three count himself, before immediately taking off with the FWA TV belt.
**"Devious" Scott Deville takes the ring announcer's microphone as he backs up the aisleway stating...
Deville: "How about it, Rex? I said that title was coming to me, and damnit I always get what I want. Well, I'm telling you now that I want a match against you to take formal possession of this piece of gold, and you better not turn down my demands, because I'm the one that saved your ass tonight, I'm the one that made you look good in front of your 'customers,' and I'm the one that's got your precious little belt that you're not gonna get back until you agree to face me one-on-one! In essence, it looks like *I'm* the 'Chosen One' now! (heavy crowd boos). What? No, I'm not talking in that sense. But Rex, I promise you this belt will belong to me, I will kick your ass, and I will not be denied!"
