~WHAT YOU NEED~
two eggs
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of Crisco
1 cup of buttermilk
2 1/4 cups of cake flour
1/2 tsp. of salt
2 oz. of red food coloring
1 tsp. of vinegar
1 tsp. of soda
~DIRECTIONS~
Spray three nine inch cake pans with Pam. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix eggs, sugar, & Crisco. Add salt, buttermilk, food coloring, & cake flour; then add soda & vinegar. Pour in pan & bake.
*Icing*
~WHAT YOU NEED~
1 cup of canned milk
3 tbsp. of flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup of Crisco
2 tsp. of vanilla
~DIRECTIONS~
Cook milk & flour until thick. Set pan into water & beat until cool. Mix sugar, butter, Crisco, & vanilla; add to cooked mixture. Mix well & ice cake.
