The First Condition : The Good Fortune Required to be a Human or Heavenly Being includes,:

1. Being filial to our parents,

2. Being respectful to our teachers and elders,

3. Being compassionate and not killing any living being,

4. Following the Ten Good Conducts;

The Second Condition : The Good Fortune Required to be a Theravada Sage includes,;

5. Taking the Three Rufuge,

6. Abiding by precepts laws and customs,

7. Behaving in a proper and dignified manner,

8. Encouraging others on the path to Enlightenment;

The Third Condition : The Good Fortune Required to be a Bodhisattva,:

9. Generating the Bodhi mind,

10. Deeply believing in the Law of Cause and Effect,

11. Reciting and upholding Mahayana sutras and,

12. Encouraging others on the path to Enlightenment.
