General Butler Vagabonds 98-99

1998 Fiddler on the Roof

1998 was my first year marching a Drum and Bugle Corps. There were 34 members of the corp. (a very small corps, even for Div 3) Going into the '98 preliminarys in Florida and placing 7 was an AWESOME feeling because we actually made finals! (long story)('97 they placed 17th, that's 10 spots moved up) It was even better when we placed 6th at finals, and we got our medals. We also recieved the Spirit of Disney award and 1998's Most Improved Div III Corps.

1999 Les Miserables

This year was a VERY good year for the corps. There were 44 of us this year with 13 members in the guard. (we only had 8 last year) We placed 1st at DCM prelims and ended up 2nd at finals. We also won high visual, high brass, and high colorguard! We are also the Garden State Open Champions. (w/ high colorguard also) This year DCI prelims and finals were held on the same day for the division 3 corps. We placed 3rd in both prelims and finals, reciving the BRONZE medal!
