This page lists the things that I have used to make my site. There are many possibilities. These are suggestions that I hope you will find useful.
First of all, you must choose a web site provider. There are many of these companies out there, and many provide their services for free. The company I chose is:
Angelfire - Easiest Free Web Pages.
They offer many options including a choice of a beginner's editor for those with no clue about HTML, and an advanced editor for those familiar with HTML.
Next you must decide what the content of your site will be. You can have just a list of your favorite links, or you can devote your site to something in particular. Again, the possibilities are endless. Some examples are:
"Bill's favorite TV links page"
"Sarah's 'I love Brad Pitt' page"
I think you get the idea. Be creative as you can. You want to try to make your site different from the rest.
Once you've decided on a format, you must decide on backgrounds and/or graphics for your site. Angelfire offers a nice amount of these, but in order to make your site stand out you may want to search for others.Here are a few other places to look:

Many more sources can be found by searching Google under Gifs, backgrounds, animations, etc.
Now you can search for the links that you will incorporate into your site. The best way to go about this is to simply surf the net. Do a Google search on some of your favorite subjects. Once you find interesting sites that you want to share with other people, write down the address and add it to your page.
The last thing you may want to do is add a guestbook to your page. The easiest way to do this is visit:

That's pretty much the basics of designing a page. Angelfire will help you with how to set things up, so I won't go into that. The last thing you'll want to do is to advertise your site. This can be done in several ways:
