This is my page where I put all the facts that people may not have known about. It's a little disorganized but bear with me.
- Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were originally 2 male cats. Check out the original Broadway recording. They also cut out a chunk of the song from the video. " They were plausible fellows who like to engage a friendly police man in conversation."
-Mistoffelees used to sing the song Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer(rumpleteazer) while Mungo and Rumpel danced. I think it's more entertaining having Mungo and Rumpel sing.
- Growltiger's Last stand was left out of the video because rumor has it John Mills wasn't up to it. If it wasn't for him we would have seen the Cats dressed as pirates.
-The very first performance of CATS was expected by many to be a disaster. They thought it was never going to amount to anything.
- Femi Taylor (Exotica in the video) was one of the Jabba dancers in Return of the Jedi. She also played Tantomile in the original London cast.
- In the credits of the Cats video it says that the voices of Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer were dubbed. This just isn't true. Someone made a mistake... not to mention the wrong spelling of Jemima's name. Jemmima?
- John Partridge is currently playing Roger in a German production of RENT. "No day but today"
- Rosemarie Ford, Bombalurina in Cats the video, played Grizabella in another performance.
- The picture on the box of the Cats video is from the London cast. No wonder they didn't look like themselves right?
- There is a cat missing from the video, Carbucketty. I have no idea why they didn't put him in. He's hangs around with Pouncival. Thanks to Pouncival aka Alli for telling me about him :)
- Timothy Scott, Mr. Mistoffelees on the original Broadway cast, died of AIDS. Very sad. He did a wonderful job.
