Clubber Lang (Mr. T.)was the only opponent Rocky faced during his career that matched his intensity and determination, perhaps even surpassing it. Lang, however, was boisterous and pompous and used these "attributes" to get Rocky into the ring by harassing Adrian. Clubber lived up to his name by thoroughly destroying Rocky in the ring to become the heavyweight champion. The loss of the belt along with the death of Mick, sent the Italian Stallion into depression. With the aid of Apollo Creed, Rocky regained the "Eye of the Tiger" he had lost and defeated Lang in a hard fought rematch.
