Zirconium is a chemical element of the titanium family. It is used everyday in lamps that we need to see. The zirconium everyday is in deodorants.
The oxide (zircon) has a high index of refraction and is good gem material. The oxide zirconia is used for laboratory crucibles that will withstand heat shock Zircon, the silicate is sometimes a gem.
Where is this element found in nature?
Zirconium was discovered in zircon by Klaproth in 1889, by heating a mixture of potassium andd potassium zirconium fluoride in a small decomposition process. Then it was diffused in ingneous rock.

So ZR let's answer one question that everyone has been wondering, how did you get put into a mental institution?" asked Perry
Well, started ZR, I was a sane man once. I used to work at a factory and made structural material for nuclear reactors, pumps, valves and heat exchangers. I also was and still am a very religious man. My favorite mineral zirconium is mentioned in the Bible. Then one day when I was at my mother's Titanium family reunion I got so mad at everybody for I don't know what but since then I've been in the institution. The doctors said it had something to do with working with nuclear stuff for so long. My family said I was so boiling mad that they thought it was 2900 degrees there. After a month had passed in the institution, I was so out of control and didn't eat that I was 91.2 pounds. So the doctors released me as long as I came back once a week for a check up. That's my whole story. What do you think?
