
Types of Jumps
SIDE HURDLER:
For a side hurdler make your one leg go out straight to the side and the opposit leg should be bent just as if you were jumping over a hurdle.
FRONT HURDLER:
You do the same thing except make your straight let go straight out to the front. Also, when showing this type of jump, you always stand sideways to see the whole effect.
PIKE JUMP: You should have a good pike first before doing this jump. When you do this jump, stand to one side also and and bring your legs up to a good pike position and snap your legs back down.
SPREAD EAGLE:
This jump is for when you are starting to learn toe touches. your legs stay down with knees faced forward and arms in a high V.
