What would you do if you discovered that an ex-Nazi was living in your neighborhood? Would you turn him in? Would you ignore him? Or...maybe you would listen to him... This is what 14-year-old Todd (Brad) does, and what develops will bring out the best, and the worst, in both of them. |

Apt Pupil is based on a novella by Stephen King, published in the book Diff'rent Seasons. While the novel focuses on Todd's development from a good kid with an unhealthy interest in the dark side, the film plays it as a relationship between a confused teenage boy and a once-powerful, perverse older man. Which is more effective? You be the judge. |

Prinicpal photography of Apt Pupil took place in the early part of
1997, in Los Angeles. The production had many problems, from scheduling
conflicts to lawsuits. Brad was insulated from most of this, and his
'people' won't allow him to discuss it.
Apt Pupil should hit DVD and VHS in March.
