Unicorns
These beautiful and elusive creatures of the mythical world have long been subjects of fascination. These are one of my personal favorites. Horses, crowned with a single, long, twisted horn, these creatures invoke images of grace and beauty. In history it was thought that only the purest maiden could ever hope to touch this rare creature.
Some ideas for how the tales of this mythical creature came about include the narwhals. The male of this species of whale bears a long twisted tooth
which protrudes from its mouth. It has been speculated that this tooth was found on beaches
and historically thought to be the horn of a unicorn.
Dragons
Dragons are amazing creatures. In fact, they're another one of my favorites. They're popular for the
stories of damsels in distress and knights in shining armor. I however, have always
been on the side of the dragon. *grin* I highly recommend seeing the movie Dragonheart if you like them as well. Look at this new cool graphic!
