Interview from the enhanced CD single, What I Didn't Know.
From Raleigh, NC. Interveiw by G105 - May 31, 1998.
Grey: "Me personally, I enjoy playing on stage with these three guys every night. And for the most part, I think there's something very similar about watching the show and playing the show at the same time. You know, for anyone who comes to a show and any one of us, on the stage, it's a lot of fun, it's high energy, and its..." Nic:"Crazy rock 'n roll." Grey:"It's crazy rock 'n roll. So, it is fun."

Nic:"We formed about six years ago." Mark:"Nic and I have known each other ever since we started playing music together, which was..." Nic:"I was in eighth grade." Mark:"I was a junior in high school." Nic:"We played like my middle school." Mark:"We heard about this crazy fire-headed kid who lived around the corner that played a mean bass. So, we sent out flyers and we dragged him over. We actually forced him to quit college and everything. Then a couple years after that, after we had gone through a few guitar players, we found another crazy guy who was going to UNC-G. And managed to coerce him to play music with us. And it was especially cool just growing up with these guys. It's a lot different than placing ads in the newspaper. These are friends that I grew up with." Nic:"We used to play shows and Mark would to sing through a karaoke machine." Mark:"And we'd turn up the echo. But, it's not really echo, it's just like feedback button, you know?"

Grey:"We played, where was it.. Virginia on ?? tour. We played in a bar one time where it was like, we played, we were opening for a band that had like a seven piece band. And the stage was like smaller than the couch. And so we had like amps out the door, in the back alley." Nic:"I couldn't hit my cymbal because it was resting on Mark's back." Mark:"I think one of the worst shows we ever played was, I don't even remember the town. But, they made us start before they opened the doors." Grey:"That was the same tour." Mark:"So, we were playing to our sound guy. Nic:"Oh yeah, yeah." Mark:"That was nice. Right as our record was coming out, it was, you know, very ego boosting."

(The band introduces themselves.) Grey:"Grey." Mark:"Hey there, I Mark Kano." Alex:"Alex." Nic:"And I'm Nic. I play the drums." Mark:"They don't know what to say. They're a little nervous. Pretend that's your drum." Grey:"This is our bass player Alex." Uh huh. (Nic puts the mic in front of Alex. Alex says nothing, smiles and waves.) (all laughing) Nic:"Exactly." Mark impersonating Alex:"My name is Alex and I'm very happy to be here. Thank you very much. Nic impersonating Alex:"Ooooh...look at me." Mark still impersonating Alex: "And buy our album, it's really good." Alex:"And all without moving my teeth."
