After 2 full days in Paris, we boarded an overnight train on the 14th of July. We arrived in Venice at 7 am on the 15th. Our hotel was on a quiet square a short distance from the train station. There are no cars in Venice so everyone either walks or travels by water. I always love to visit Venice. There are paintings by Titian in the churches and sculptures by Michelangelo. Art by famous Renaissance artists is everywhere. including the Byzantine mosaics in St. Marks Cathedral.
