John M. Miller

John M. Miller was born in Lebanon Co., PA, on March 4, 1844 and died in Lebanon, Lebanon Co. on October 30, 1890. His parentage is unknown. He is buried in the soldier's section of the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon.

John Miller served as a private in "F" Company, 93rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was mustered-In at Reading, Berks Co., PA, on March 10, 1864, for three years of service. His vital statistics at the time he mustered-in were: 5"6' tall, brown hair, brown eyes, dark complexion, age 19 years, and occupation - farmer. Pvt. Miller was mustered-out with the company on June 27, 1865, at the Defenses of Washington, DC.

John Miller was married on September 8, 1866, to Eliza Ann, daughter of Henry and Margaretha (Zimmerman) Eckler of Pine Grove, Schuylkill Co., PA. They were the parents of seven children: i. Wesley John, ii. John Henry William, iii. Elizabeth Jane, iv. Mahlon, v. child (name unknown), vi. Ellen Wilora [my great, grandmother], and vii. Andrew Wilson.
