Joseph McConnell

Joseph was a private of Captain Henry Schwartz of Company "I" of the 93rd PA Regiment of Veteran Volunteers.
He enrolled on the 1st of January of 1864 to serve 3 years or until the war has ended. He was discharged on March 21st, 1865 at Mt Pleasant General Hospital by reason of surgeon's certificate of disability.
He was born in Lebanon County and was 21 years old. He was 5 feet 3 inches tall, light complexion, gray eyes and dark hair.
His occupation when enrolled was a laborer. His injury was amputation of lower third right arm on account of gunshot injuries received at the
Battle of Fishers Hill, VA. Sept 22nd, 1864.
