Angus Mac Og (Ireland) One of the Tuatha de Danaan (Children of Danu). God of youth, love, and beauty.

Anu, Anann (Ireland) Mother Earth, Goddess of Plenty, one aspect of the Morrigu. Maiden aspect of the Triple Goddess in Ireland. Goddess of fertility, prosperity, and comfort.

Arawn (Wales) God of Annwn, the Underworld, revenge, terror, and war.

Arianrhod (Wales) Goddess of Reincarnation, Sky Goddess, Full Moon Goddess. Mother of Lleu (Lugh) and Dylan by her brother, Gwydion. Mother aspect of the Triple Goddess in Wales.

Badb (Ireland) Life, wisdom, enlightenment, and inspiration. Mother aspect of the Triple Goddess in Ireland. Sister of Macha, the Morrigu, and Anu.

Banba (Ireland) Part of a triad with Fotia and Eriu. They used magick to repel invaders.

Bel (Ireland) Sun and Fire God, closely associated with the Druids. (Akin to the Sun God Apollo.)

Blodeuwedd (Wales) Lily maid of Celtic initiation ceremonies. Created by Math and Gwydion as wife for Lleu. She was changed into an owl for her plotting Lleu's death and her adultery.

Boann (Ireland) Goddess of the River Boyne, mother of Angus mac Og by the Dagda.

Bran the Blessed (Wales) brother of Maanawydan ap Llyr (Manannan mac Lir) and Branwen, son of Llyr. God of prophecy, arts, leaders, war, the Sun, music and writing.

Branwen (Wales) Sister of Bran the Blessed and wife of the Irish king Matholwch. Venus of the Northern Seas; daughter of Llyr. Goddess of love and beauty.

Brigit (Wales, Ireland, Spain, France) Daughter of the Dagda, another aspect of Danu. She had an exclusive priestesshood at Kildare with an ever burning Sacred Fire. The number of her priestesses were always nineteen. Goddess of Fire, fertility, the hearth, and all feminine arts.

Cernunnos, (Herne the Hunter) (Known to all Celtic areas in one form or another) The horned God, God of Nature, God of the Hunt, the Druids called him Hu Gadarn.

Cerridwen (Wales) Moon Goddess, Great Mother. Death, fertility, regeneration, inspiration, magic, astrology, herbs, science, poetry, spells, knowledge.

Creiddylad (Wales) Daughter of the sea god, Llyr. Goddess of summer and flowers.

The Crone (all Celtic societies) One aspect of the Triple Goddess. She represents old age or death, end of all things, the waning Moon, all destruction that precedes regeneration, Crows and other black creatures are sacred to her.

The Dagda (Ireland) The Good God, All Father, Lord of the Heavens, High King of the Tuatha de Danann, lord of perfect knowledge.

Danu/Danann (Ireland) Probably the same as Anu; Mother of the Gods, another aspect of the Morrigu. She gave her name to the Tuatha de Danann. Patroness of wizards, rivers, wells, prosperity and plenty.

Diancecht (Ireland) Physican-magician of the Tuatha de Danann. God of healing and medicine.

Don/Donmu (Ireland, Wales) Queen of the Heavens, Goddess of sea and air. Equivalent of the Irish Danu--(sometimes called a God and Goddess). In Ireland, Don ruled over the land of the Dead.

Druantia Queen of the Druids. Mother of the Tree Calendar, Fir Goddess, passion, sexual activities.

Dylan (Wales) Son of the wave, God of the sea. Son of Gwydion and Arianrhod. His symbol was the silver fish.

Elaine (Wales, Britain) Maiden aspect of the Goddess.

Epona (Britain, Gaul) Goddess of Horses, Mother Goddess, fertility, maternity, crops.

Eriu, Erin (Ireland) One of the three queens of the Tuatha de Danann, daughter of the Dagda.

Flidais (Ireland) Goddess of the forest, woodlands, and wild things. Shape shifter.

Goibniu (Ireland, Wales) Great Smith. God of Weapons. He forged the weapons for the Tuatha de Danann--these weapons never missed or lost their edge.

Great Father, Green Man See Cernunnos and Dagda.

Gwydion (Wales) Druid of the mainland gods, son of Don, wizard and bard of North Wales. A many-skilled deity like Lugh, shape shifter.

Gwynn ap Nudd (Wales) King of the Faeries and the Underworld, later became King of Annwn, or underworld faeries.

Gwythyr (Wales) Opposite of Gwynn ap Nudd, King of the Upperworld.

Llyr (Ireland, Wales) God of the sea and water, father of Bran, Branwen, and Manawyddan.

Lugh (Ireland, Wales) Bright one, many skilled one, a hero god--his festival is Lughnasadh. He had a magick spear and sling. He was a carpenter, mason, poet, Druid, blacksmith, historian...he did it all!

Macha (Ireland) Mother of Life and Death, a war Goddess.

Manannon mac Lir/Manawyddan ap Llyr (Ireland, Wales) He dressed in a green cloak and gold headband. God of the Sea. Shape shifter. His magickal swine were the chief food of the Tuatha de Danann and kept them from aging. He had many famous weapons: two spears--Yellow Shaft and Red Javelin; three swords--The Retaliator, Great Fury and Little Fury.

Margawse (Wales, Britain) Mother aspect of the Goddess.

Math Mathonwy (Wales) God of Sorcery, magic, enchantment.

Merlin/Myrrdin (Wales, Britain) Great sorcerer, Druid, magician. Prophet trained by Nimuee and the Lady of the Lake.

The Morrigu, Morrigan (Ireland, Wales, and Britain) Supreme War Goddess, Spectre Queen, shape shifter. Reigned over the battle field, not joining in, but using her magick. Goddess of war, fate, and death.

Niamh (Ireland) Brightness, beauty. Helps heroes at death.

Nuada/Nudd (Ireland, Wales) Silver Hand. He had an invincible sword, one of the four great weapons of the Tuatha de Danann. God of healing, ocean, water, fishing.

Ogma, Oghma (Ireland) Honey-mouthed. Sun face, similar to Hercules, he carried a great club. Invented the Ogham script alphabet.

Pwyll (Wales) Sometime ruler of the Underworld, also called Pwyll pen Annwn, husband of Rhiannon.

Rhiannon (Wales) The Great Queen, Goddess of Birds and Horses. Enchantments, fertility and the Underworld. She rides a swift, white horse.

Scathach (Ireland, Scotland) The Shadowy One, She Who Strikes Fear. Underworld Goddess of the Land of Scath. Goddess in the Destroyer Aspect.

Taliesen (Wales) Prince of Song, Chief of the Bards of the West, Patron of Druids, shape shifter.

Tephi (Ireland) Goddess of Tara and co-founder of Tea.

White Lady (known to all Celtic countries) Dryad of Death, Queen of the Dead.
