My "friend" JP, whose computer I frequent, due to the fact his sound works, and that he has a CD burner, kindly compiled a Jebediah CD for me. From songs that I stole from Napster! Yay! (shhhh... don't tell!!) Most are those live ones and some are the b-sides for the singles that I can't get here!! *grrrr* I'm still searching for about 5 or 6 songs that I *know* exist. Someday Kelly... oh yes, someday.... But for now, my CD of 16 new and live songs (cleverly titled "Kickass Jebediah - Live and Krazy Stuff") will simply have to suffice.

ahhhh!!!!

Upon coming home from Uni for christmas vacation, I was greeted with my lovely package from Heath! It was my Jebediaraies video, and it kicks ass!! Although it's quality kinda uh, sucks, it still rocks! I was so happy to finally see the rest of Jebediah's videos!

While watching Jebediaries for the second time, I sat down with my newest issue of Chart (THE Canadian music magazine www.chartnet.com), and while reading the newest album reviews, reading comparisons and circling the bands I would look into later, I surprisingly came upon a Jebediah one!! It was for Of Someday Shambles, and they gave it a 4/5!!! I was soooo shocked!!

Jebediah - Of Someday Shambles (Big Wheel Recreation)
These guys (and a girl) have been touted as Australia's next best thing. Sure, why not? Anything to eradicate the misguided notion that Silverchair is the Kiwi continents premier music import. Which is not to diminish the power-pop-punk of this record at all. Jebediah has charm. Maybe it's the Johnny Rotten meets Billie Joe Armstrong lead vocals -- sounding equal parts snottily adolescent and endearingly schoolboyish. Or maybe it's the ear-pleasing, melodic-but-razor-edged overall sound of the record. Like our own treble charger, Jebediah manages to tow the line between aggressive punk and tuneful harmony.
Screw Silverchair.

I have officially declared this week as 'Jebbie overload' week. I can do that, I'm from Canada! (by the way, today is also happy cotton candy day! celebrate! Drink, be merry!!!) Okay where was I? Oh yes. Jebediah week. I was up late, being bored, the usual. When I got an email from Juice.net. I was all excited cos I knew that meant their video interview was up and running, so I headed on over! Waiting for my computer to load (oh gosh home for the holidays = 33.6 modems, oh my! death!), was horrible!! As the 11 questions scrolled on by, I freaked when I saw 'Kelly (from Canada)'!!! They answered two of my questions! Downside: Kelly's computer sucks and she doesn't have a soundcard that works! Oh yes... death! But thankfully my friend Matt is a GOD (well... almost anyways...) and he transcribed these two questions... here they are!!

K = Kelly
V = Vanessa
C = Chris

K: Many of my friends here in Canada and in the US have been introduced to Jebediah through the sharing of mp3's. Do you guys give mp3 sharing programs such as Napster a thumbs up, or a thumbs down?

V: What's an mp3?
C: Yeah, I really don't have much of idea about Napster or MP3s, and ?? music, I mean, if people are sharing it, well, then as long as they're safe then they can do what they want.
V: share and share alike I say
C: yeah, spread it 'round!
V: share the wealth!

K: If Jebediah could play *JUST* one more gig, and you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?

V: My lounge room, definitely.
C: Yeah, , I wouldn't mind playing there, that would be pretty good, although I wouldn't mind going back to New York and playing there, that was really, really big sound.
V: I wouldn't mind playing at Planet, at home...
C: Yeah!
V: ...although it is a gentleman's club now, but...
C: On a mountain would be pretty good.
V: Yeah
C: I'd climb a mountain, I'd play anywhere.
V: On a boat would be good.
C: Yeah, a boat would be good.
V: Play with the paddles and oars, that would be fun.
