One of the most common misconceptions about tornadoes is that if you live in an area of the country where tornadoes do not occur frequently, you tend to believe that one will never occur. Tornadoes can happen anywhere, at anytime. They are most common in the Spring and Summer and can occur at any time of the day. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes without any warning. Learn the tornado safety tips, and be prepared. Preparation means survival is more likely!
