JAROMIR JAGR--Jaromir Jagr is one of the league's most spectacular players, not to mention one of the sexiest! Jaromir has flaring long hair that drives a woman hockey fan nuts! Jaromir is an alternate captain for the Penguins and for the Czech Olympic team. He has won 2 Stanley Cups with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. He was drafted as the Pens' #1 draft pick, 5th overall. Jaromir won the Art Ross Trophy in the 1994-95 season. Currently, Jagr is on top of the NHL in the scoring race. In 1992, someone figured out that Jaromir's first name was an anagram for Mario Jr. Kinda makes ya wonder, doesn't it? Recently, Jagr signed a $48 million contract with the Pens, making him one of the league's highest-paid players, the Penguins' highest-paid player.
JIRI SLEGR--Rocky? One could surely mistaken this guy for Rocky, with the way he fights! Jiri Slegr is a tough defenseman with killer looks (sorry, girls, he's married) and a killer body! Jiri was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 1989. He has also played for the Edmonton Oilers. Just this season, Slegr was traded to the Penguins and is having his best season yet! Even though he does spend some time in the penalty box, Jiri's performance on the ice makes up for those penalty minutes. Jiri played on the Czech Olympic team, scoring a goal against Canada in which the Czechs won 2-1 after a shootout. Jiri is the son of Jiri Bubla, who played for the Canucks.
ROBERT LANG--Robert just came to the Pens this season. He has played very well so far and contributed to the Czechs' success in the Olympics. Robert is a good looking player, like many other players from his country, and is probably one of the Penguins' unsung heroes.
