I have always had a love for poetry. I feel any one can express there feelings and their heart in the form of a poem. I do not claim to be a great poet. I just have been blessed by God to form words and express them in a different way. And others have found them to be a positive interpretation of actions in their life as well. Lord They’re Trying To Take You Away


Lord, they’re trying to take you away,
Trying to teach us not to pray.
They tell us you are dead,
That religion is just in our heads.
The new God’s of our generation,
All have 1-900 numbers on every station.
They can tell your future, your past even your name,
No one knowing the next caller will hear the same.
They take your money, after all no God could be free,
For all they do for you there must be a fee.
No one wants to hear about Jesus, they don’t have the time,
Too busy working hard, just to make a dime.
Everyone is in a hurry looking out for number one,
Life is just one big party, 24 hours of fun.
Forgetting the reason, we all are here,
It was not to live each day in fear, or kill each other for their shoes,
Or party hard and live only for today.
They say God has no place in our schools or in our lives,
But, it’s ok to cheat and beat up on your wives,
But don’t spank your children you’ll ruin their lives.
A few years later they will ruin yours,
When they are caught stealing from department stores.
As for the children what will their future be?
A Godless corporate world, an immature, me first, power charged, society.
Lord they tried to take you away but, your more powerful each and every day,
And no one can ever, ever, take you away…

The War Is Over

When the war is over and the victory is won.
Stand up and praise the Lord!
For He is the one who brought you through.
And for all eternity will live with you.
No more sadness, no more fears.
For the Lord Jesus will wipe away all your tears.
He is gentle, loving and He is kind.
He brings new life to the lame and the blind.
If you do not accept Jesus as your savior today, you are destined to doom.
Accept him now while there is still room.
For a day will come when the gate is locked.
And inside stand all the Christians you use to mock!
What will you do then? Your destiny is HELL!
Where you will spend all eternity in a one-person cell.
With crying, screaming and gnashing of teeth.
You will reside in darkness alone underneath.
All this is real His word tells me so.
HELL is a place I never want to go.
Heaven can be your home for all eternity.
If you accept Jesus Christ this day, you will see…
Jesus your eternal friend and me.

Accept Jesus Christ, as your personal savior today
for tomorrow may never come!
