Pacific Islands Fisheries News Bits (WESPAC)
- Workshop on Fisheries Legislation was held 4-9 April 2005 in Honolulu: Recommendations were
- 1) Training on the SPC socioeconomic manual should begin
- 2) Countries should be trained to conduct their own Fisheries management Plans as soon as possible
- 3) A regional approach is needed to resolve problems faced by countries in the management of their live fish food industries
- 4) Workshops to resolve difficulties in the development of community based management should be held on a sub-regional basis
