What
is SBMMA?
The
San Beda Marketing Management Association (SBMMA) is a duly recognized
professional student organization in the College of Arts and Sciences
of San Beda College. It is an organization of Marketing Management students
established to foster unity and camaraderie among its members. It also
serves as a venue for intellectual enhancement of students in the marketing
field.
One of the founding members of the Federation of Junior Marketing Associations,
the SBMMA has been participating in its activities and vying for awards
and recognition. The organization has been recognized by the Philippine
Marketing Association as one of the Three Outstanding Marketing Organizations
of the Philippines (TOSMA) in 1999 and 2000 respectively. Another achievement
is the members' inclusion as one of the Ten Outstanding Marketing Students
of the Philippines (TOMAS). The SBMMA has always been included among the
top three student organizations at San Beda College.
SBMMA's Vision-Mission:
The San Beda
Marketing Management Association, in its pursuit of professionalism and
unity in our endeavors, with the conviction of attaining necessary skills
and by abiding with moral and ethical values, for the Alma Mater, country
and God, envisions the 21st Century Bedan Marketing graduates as marketers
with Christian principles equipped with the necessary marketing skills
and aware of the new marketing trend and technologies significant and
related to their life of service.
Objectives
of SBMMA:
1. To form every Marketing Management student according to San Beda College's
mission of molding students to become fully human, wholly Christian and
truly Filipino.
2. To update the members on the current Marketing Management trends, technology
and development in coordination with the

4. To create awareness on the socio-cultural, economic and political situation
of the country as well as internationally.
5. To enrich and develop the personality of each Marketing Management
members to total Christian personhood.
6. To be able to produce competitive and competent Marketing Management
majors in the academe and in their future endeavor.

Partners/Affiliates:
The Philippine
Marketing Association, Inc. (PMA) is an organization dedicated to
the advancement of marketing as a profession and a service. Its activities
are primarily directed towards the improvement of methods, techniques
and practices in marketing. Founded in January 27, 1954, the PMA is a
non-stock non-profit association organized and incorporated under the
laws of the Republic of the Philippines. As the membership of PMA, Inc.
continues to grow, it spawn chapters especially in the provinces. PMA,
Inc. expands and oversees the activities of its existing chapters even
as it now tries to organize new ones.
The Federation of Junior Marketing Association (FJMA), is a non-profit,
non-secretarian, non-stock and non-political marketing oriented and student
managed organization affiliated with the Philippine Marketing Association
(PMA), as co-affiliated with the Association of Marketing Educators
(AME). The organization traces its roots from the youth affairs committee
created by the Philippine Marketing Association's board of directors.
The initial goal of the committee was the unification of various Junior
Marketing Association's in different colleges and universities into a
federation. On July 22, 1986, fourteen schools affiliated with PMA formed
the Federation of Junior Marketing Associations. Since then, the number
of affiliated schools increased from 14 to 36 schools, among which are
the country's top colleges and universities.
SBMMA is also the sole member of the American Marketing Association
or AMA in Asia.
