Yo---anyone still there? It's been a few days now since our last blog & it's getting extraordinarily ridiculous.

So we've just been chilling out...Stephen got drunk last night, we're enjoying watching The Office (Ricky Gervais). Painful, but great.

Well it's payday today, and even with going to Barcelona, we just can't seem to spend all our money, which is just shocking, shocking.

We're preparing for the visit of Stephen's mother Susan on the 8th of March: 2 weeks away!

Today I found a bottle of champagne under my desk...someone's left-over from Christmas that I might just take home...and I had a dream that I stole a car with one of girls from accounts.

Otherwise, we're enjoying drinking smoothies & eating pasta asciutta.

LOVE this blog, E! Yours is one I peruse regularly. I'm not so interesting, as I haven't yet acquired a loyal following. That said, maybe because my blog's just so darn boring! ;p Anyway I am looking forward to more Barcelona pics! So, did you guys have to speak Spanish whilst there?

I'm all about the smoothies as well; I always add a little maple syrup. That, alongside an espresso, is a good morning.

Yay! The loyal following!

I got Pasta Asciutta (or sometimes pastasciutta) from the Elizabeth David cookbook "Italian Food". While she explains how Marinetti tried to ban this food during the fascist years, she doesn't actually explain what it means. So I looked in up on line & as I suspected, it means a dry pasta cooked, with a sauce. Not pasta with a broth. And that makes sense 'cause her section on Pasta Asciutta is all about pasta & sauces. Mmm..so simple, so good!

Gonna try that maple syrup tip...nix on the espresso though, I don't think our electric hob will make a good one, so we've never tried. But LONG LIVE THE SMOOTHIES! Hey, not a bad name for a band...the smoothies...

Hi Christine! I told Stephen the other day while reading your blog that it made me want to cry. Really Christine, we have to come out there and stay with you for a while...Life there sounds so perfect!

Hi E!! I sooooooooo wish you and Stephen can come visit me on the island someday! Sand dunes, gorgeous beaches, hiking, etc...you'll fall in love with this place! I do sound sorta biased, don't I??

Yummmmm to the maple syrup. Unpasturized honey works well too. Can't say I'd do the espresso tho'! I luv the stuff but the stuff don't luv me! ;p (caffeine knocks me out! I know I'm a freak, but it has an adverse effect on me)
