Stephen & Elisabeth in England

Friday night stuff
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: The Threepenny Opera (1954 cast)
Topic: Stephen Says
Well, Elisabeth and I both went to work hung over today because we stayed up late drinking wine and singing Kurt Weil songs.

Thank goodness we've both got the weekend off. I desperately need to sleep in.

E's gone all retro trendy and bought a hair straightener. Granted straightened hair was sooooo 2003 but everything old is cool so, woteva.
She's becoming very corportate, you know.

Yeah so it's a lazy, boring Friday night because it'llbe a busy weekend - People coming over on sunday and Saturday will be spent making the flat look somewhat presentable. It hasn't been properly cleaned in oh God, I can't remember.

So yeah, E's planning our Barcelona itinary and I'm just being myself with very little to blog about so I'll stop it now.

I take exception to your comments "She's becoming very corporate," I mean in your own words to me "You've got to do something about your frizz." I mean, I bought the hair straighteners to please you!

But is it really true I'm becoming corporate? Well, yes, by circumstance. Stephen, if you were working for a corporation, having to shave & wear a nice shirt ((i.e. clean & with buttons) & trousers everyday, then one could then accuse you of becoming corporate. But really, it's called putting effort into your appearence. And maybe even fashion if you get good at it.

I would sustain your accusation if I started taking you to cocktail lounges & demanded we vacation in resorts & go out to eat every night. If I started going to see The Woman in White and listening to Michael Bolton. If I started getting makeup tattooed to my face & insisted on shopping every weekend for new shoes. Then I might have to bear your accusations.

But as God as my witness I just want to have fun playing with my hair and help it achieve its maximum potential. It's got to pull its weight for the shareholders.

Stop trying to wind me up. You know, you're being corporate!

Personally, I think sending memos to your spouse by e-mail or blogging is very corporate.
