Public Work
Magoos Bar and Dance Club
Meadville, PA
September, 2002
"This experience offered me the chance to acquire a project
individually, form an initial concept, and develop that idea
with a team. Understanding that the function of this bar and dance
club space was to promote fun through drinking, conversation and friends,
our main goal was to attract people. Keeing this in mind, we
focused on crafting a unique urban yet somewhat humorous scene in a fairly
rural area, to encourage socialization of the people of the town and college alike."
We mimicked this cityscape to create the background for our mural

"Recycling can be beautiful:
This large-scale and environmentally-friendly project is situated on
PA Dept. of Transportation property, enhancing a major Meadville intersection.
Catering to the neighboring companies and passing vehicles, Signs & Flowers
offers a variety of perspectives. Outdoor factors such as weathering,
vandalism and safety became major considerations during construction.
Made of recycled road signs and all sustainable materials, Signs &
Flowers will be beautifying this corner for years to come.
In many ways this work was about connecting the community: the people of
the city of Meadville, Allegheny College, as well as PennDOT."
