General Hammond is the big guy up on Cheyenne Mountain. He is the leader and bascially just a loveable old Santa Claus. He has his limits, but he always seems to come through for sg1. He has two granddaughters. They are number one on his speed dial, even before the president. He puts family above all else, retiring when there was a threat to his family from the NID. In the wizard of Oz of stargate, he would be the wizard.

Doctor Janet Fraiser

Janet is the head doctor at the SGC. She has become friends of Stargate. We have gotten to know Janet much better in the 7 seasons of Stargate. In the beginning Dr.Fraiser didn't even have a first name. She adopted the alien child Cassandra. She tends to all the bruises, cuts and bangs of SG1 and the other SG teams.

Teal'c

Teal'c the one named man. He has a son, Ryac. He was once first prime to Apophis. He joined the Tau'ri int he fight against the goa'uld. His wife is now dead. He left his family on Chulak to disgrace and banishment. He loves his family. It is very important to him, but the fight against the goa'uld is also important. He has a very large temper which he manages to keep under control. He is a jaffa, but instead of a symbiote he now takes trutonin. He was taught by Master Bra'tac. He is the fourth member of SG1.

Major (Doctor) Samantha Carter

An atrophysist. She has no children. She makes her mark in the airforce. Formerly Captain Carter, she got her Major title while working as part of SG1. She did not go on the first Abydos mission. She was once taken over by the Tok'ra Jolinar. Jolinar saved her life. It left her with its memories which have proved very valuable on many occasions. She is the lone female member of SG1. Her mother died when she was a teenager. She dreamed of being an astronaut.

Doctor Daniel Jackson

Doctor Daniel Jackson is an archaeologist and skilled linguist. He speaks 23 different languages including goa'uld, english, russian and ancient egyptian. He went on the first Abydos mission after cracking the code of the stargate. Without him, it would not be open for earth. His parents died when he was young, his grandfather would not adopt him. He was sent to foster homes. He is the only member of SG1 (not counting Jonas Quinn) never to have had a goa'uld or symbiote inside him. His wife is dead, after being taken host by Amonhet. His former girlfriend and colleague was taken host by Osiris. He wears glasses. He has allergies, so he used to sneeze a lot. He is quite a nerd actually. He has a nasty little habit of getting killed or injured.

Colonel Jack O'Neill

Jack O'Neill (note the 2 Ls) is a colonel in the US Air Force. He is divorced. His son is dead, he accidentially shot himself with Jack's gun. O'Neill really went on the first Abydos mission as a suicide mission. He is now the leader of SG1, the Stargate's flagship team for Earth. He is a direct man, and very sarcastic. He pretends to be dumber than he is, but he really is a little thick. He drinks beer and plays chess. He dosen't like many scientists. He watches the Simpsons but has never seen Star Wars. He really is a good guy, he would do anything for the rest of SG1. He has a temper but can usually keep it under control. He has bad knees, and he was once in Special Ops.
