You tell your kids not to fight because it
doesn’t solve anything, but then, you go to war; you go to war and
euphemize it with words like freedom, liberty, and resolve. You have put
this idea of freedom on a pedestal. It has become your god. You worship
it. You have weighed so much human life against it. You know that fighting
solves nothing, yet you would fight to protect that way of life, which
teaches that fighting solves nothing. You preserve your way of life for
your children and your children's children, but then you send your
children to fight and to die for you. "War uses man's best to do man's
worst." So it is written. Why is this freedom, this way of life, so important? You point to the slaves, whom you suppose had no freedom. Do slaves never find joy? You point to the poor. Do they never smile? Slave or free, poor or rich, we all find joy at moments. We all laugh and smile at times. We, all of us, have seen the best of times and the worst of times. Freedom, nor lack thereof, has changed this not. I would also submit that all slaves have freedom, and every free American is a slave. We are all slaves and prostitutes to some degree, in some way. We all sell ourselves for something. We all are burdened by circumstances, but even slaves can choose, to choose not to dig a ditch, to not be branded or whipped, to walk away from it, from life itself, if that's what it takes. Tyranny is oppressive but is no god. We should give freedom no greater power. We all have the freedom to mutiny, but none have right to murder or authority to die for or allow others to die for a euphemism. We, none of us, were born to die. We were not given life just to take it. Were we not all taught, "thou shalt not kill?" Where is it written, "thou shalt not kill, unless your life or livelihood is threatened. You may kill when your nation or pride is tarnished. You may engage in wholesale slaughter if your enemies do it first. Stoop to their level. Fight evil with evil, hate with hate, and terror with terror. When you are struck by the hateful Leviathan, unleash the hateful Leviathan within you." I was at no time made aware that God had amended His laws, even as you have broken your own. No man can hold me accountable for my sins, but there is quickly coming a day when we all will be reckoned with for our deeds, good and bad. I wonder what retaliatory action God has in store for the American people, who in the spirit of Columbine struck back at the bully with full furry. I fear what God will reckon to us for allowing ourselves to let slip the dogs of war. The rage in our hearts has condemned us. We have bombed that weak, little nation into the Stone Age as all our bent hearts desired. Like a witless jackass at the trigger we fired hells hot furry onto the 'enemy,' and so much human life was demeaned, devalued, and diminished. How brave are we! I take exception to those that lash out at men of peace as myself. Your answer to our "dissention" is to strike us until we strike back. I submit to you. You may strike me a thousand fold, and I will get back up and turn out my cheek to you. If a man wishes to take my life, he shall have it. I would sacrifice my life's blood before shedding another’s. I will not be provoked. I will not be driven by my hot heart's furry. I will leave the warmongers to war. Those that live by the sword die by the sword. The princes of war shall inherit a wasteland. Those that shed blood will bleed and die. I will take my punches and charge on for the prize. I leave my enemies to God. His justice is far more creative than my own. Through ten years of systematic abuse and torture, I did not once fail to turn the other cheek to my abusers, and you have pissed on my integrity. I submit to you. These principles that I have not fought for but suffered for will save us all. You cannot fight hate with hate. Darkness is driven out with the light. Hate is broken by love. Terror is banished by courage. Oppression is abolished by perseverance. It takes integrity to turn the other cheek, but we must not forget to love our enemies. These are the lessons we must learn, or we must perish. "Light does the Darkness
most fear." -Jewel
