What I Believe

I have no tolerance for the intolerant. I have no allegiance to any political party. You could call me liberal if you understood that the word only means open-minded. I believe in the Word of God, but I do not believe it is right to beat people over the head with it. The Bible is a weapon against evil, not against people. I believe right is right, and we should not be afraid to say so. We should offer proactive solutions to people's problems, not just point out those problems. If you can't offer someone a better way, keep your useless opinion to yourself. I believe Salvation, in the Biblical sense, has nothing to do with saying a prayer but with the state of a heart. A heart that is right with God is Heaven bound. I don't believe any man or woman is ordained to judge another man's heart. Your eternity is between you and God. Your relationship with Him is everything. No man has power to damn you to hell. I don't believe you can put God in a box. You cannot say that God is this way, therefore He cannot be another way. Do not think in two dimensional terms. There is no absolute truth, because no truth applies to every situation. Don't be so naive as to think you can put everything into some preconceived category. I believe guns are bad, but I'm more afraid of a corrupt government having all of them. If a man wishes to take my life, he can have it. If a man wishes to take my friend's life, I shall destroy him utterly and completely and without any remorse. I believe my loved one's must be the center of my life. Hate no one. Love everyone. It's the simplest equation for world peace. Global problems don't demand global solutions; they demand personal solutions on a global scale. As long as we consider our enemies "our enemies," we will never know peace. Humanity does not end at the American border. Killing is wrong, period. I believe monsters, evil men, walk among us. They should be destroyed, but I do not believe any man has sense enough to know an evil man when he sees him. You let the media tell you who the killers are. You cry out for their blood. How do you even know they or any murder has taken place? You view the world through a glass tube. The images you see are chosen by other people you don't even know. Do you trust a media driven by dollars with the life of your fellow man? I believe there's a demon, if not two, under every rock. I believe evil men really do sit around in dark rooms thinking up evil things to do. The glass is not half-empty; it's completely empty. I know God is real because I know the devil exists. I have to believe in God or all hope is lost. I believe in redemption. I don't believe in the duality of nature: "because evil exists, good must exist. Good needs evil to exist." God never said his creation needed balance. I believe in living life to the fullest. I believe in higher ideals in action. All I ever wanted was love, peace, goodness for all. I believe in applying these simple principles in my life, and I propose you take them on in your own life. If we all do the same, we will have them. By God, from whom all good comes, we will have Utopia. The glass is completely empty, but if we are committed to goodness for all, our cup will runneth over. It's not a dream. It's my life's pursuit. Won't you join me? I won't ignore the evils of the world, but I choose to see the good in people. I choose to take the iniquity thrust upon me by my fellow man, and turn to make good in their lives. For every slap in the face, I would visit back on mankind a thousand blessings. I do believe all is lost, but I believe, by God, we can recover every loss. The only way to fight evil is with good. Hate is made impotent by love. Darkness is driven out with light. Be a light.
