I have a sister, who is two years older than me. She goes to McGill University now. When we were little, we fought over everything, just like other siblings. I was always the violent one, and my sister was always the one we cried. Now, we don't fight anymore, we just argue; her lecturing and me listening. It wasn't until recently I recognized the importance of family. After my dad decided to work in China and my sister went to university, I realized how nice it is to have all of us together.

My life changed a lot after I graduated from elementary school and came to Canada with my family. It took us quite a wile to adapt the life in Canada . The first year in Canada was probably the hardest year in my whole life, yet it was also the year that influenced me the most. The different challenges I had to face, such as making friends and learning English, force me to become a more independent person. Now, it has been four years since I came to Canada . Before, the only thing I liked about Vancouver was that I didn't have to get burned in summer. Now, I have some good friends and I actually enjoy my life here!

Although I live in Vancouver, I go to Burnaby North Secondary School, the best high shcool in Burnaby! I am currently in grade eleven. It is hard to imagine that next year will be my last high school year. I hope I can get into a decent univerisity and have a bright future!
