The first edition to my tank was a golden apple snail named Larry. I was so excited to watch something other then an empty tank I purchased him as well as algae tablets for his food because my tank was not established yet.
Soon after came my three red and white fantails - Moe, Curly and Shemp. The three of them will always be my favourites as they are my "original" three and have grown from an inch to almost three in my care.
When I spotted Hitler in the calico fantail tank at the pet store I instantly fell in love with her. Thinking she would be excluded in the aquarium because she was differnt I chose Cleo as her companion. With the new additions I also bought a blue apple snail and named him Baloo.
When I started to do research about fish in general I soon realised that my goldfish were crowded in there small aquarium and recived a 33 gallon tank from my boyfriend Erich as a gift. Soon after moving the original fish and snails into my tank the two snails died. Larry's shell was deteriorating. I accidently crushed it when moving him and Baloo got caught in the filter the fist night he was moved.
Reading the fish order sheets at work I noticed that blue orandas were offered and asked my boss to order some in. Miles and Matilda were purchased as soon as they arrived.
When a shipment of meduim sized black moores came in I spotted Jimo and soon had another fish in my tank.
Having 8 goldfish and no kind of algae eaters in my aquarium Erich bought me my three snails - Brian, Penelope and Pedro. All of my goldfish are growing quickly and will soon have to be seperated and moved into larger habitats. Combined with Erichs goldfish we will have many aquariums and so many beautiful fish.
