Daniel PuttlitzBirthday : 9th July, 1971 Star sign : Cancer Age : 32 Family : Wife, Joanne (NOT the Sensei one) and Son, Aidan, Daughter, Mackenzie -- oh yeah and KC The Wonder Puppy. Karate History : Began training at the age of 11 in Tang Soo Doo and graded to 7th Kyu. After moving to Sydney I joined Goshin Ryu and achieved 1st Kyu, before moving on to Shinobi (a contact style) where I attained 6th Kyu. Joined GKR in 1994 and started teaching at Lalor Park in 1995. I am the original instructor for Lalor Park Dojo. Currently I am a Shodan. Favourite Techiniques : Tetsui Uchi (Hammer Fist) and Rolling Side Back Fist. Favourite Kata : Sepai and Bassai-Dai. Karate Ambitions : To be fortunate enough to see my students achieve what they set out to achieve, as their achievements encourage me to continue my own development. Hobbies : Reading, watching movies, playstation, learning new games to play with my son and daughter. Favourite Colour : Gumboot Blue and Gold. Favourite Authors : Dean Koontz, Stephen King and Richard Laymon. Favourite Music : Pop/Rock - I DO NOT like dance music (boom tish). Favourite Groups/Singers : Savage Garden to Van Halen - and everyone in between. Most Hated Thing : Egos and push-ups ....... oh and sit ups .... oh and chin ups. Favourite Food : Pasta and Roast's. Favourite Places : Gove (in the Northern Territory) and anywhere on holidays (but not the relo visits !!!!!). Most Treasured Possession : My playstation and my VCR. Favourite Movies : Too many to list ... but a few would be - Braveheart, The Matrix, Somewhere in Time, Some Kind of Wonderful, Short Circuit, Aliens, ET, Scream, Salems Lot (the mini-series, not the movie), The Sixth Sense. Favourite TV Shows : Third Watch, The Goodies, Blake-7, Battlestar Galactica, Buffy, Angel, ER, Buck Rogers, The Simpsons, Dr. Who, Nightrider. Favourite Saying : "Its a beautiful thing !" Ambitions : The be a good father; to see one of my own students teach one of their own students to Shodan Ho; to see the Rocky Mountains and the Grand Canyon; and to attend a Parramatta Grand Final WON by Parramatta (hopefully I have enough years left for this one). The past 6 years have given me many highlights - including the opportunity to meet many very special people. I can only hope that I have touched their lives as much as they have touched mine. Also, I need to acknowledge the wonderful friendship and assistance that Sensei Joanne has offered me over the last 4 years. Her dedication and perseverance could be an inspiration to many (she paid me to say this). |
