must be no-one about
but i'm used to that
because i'm always alone

i think i'll shout
or maybe i won't
because there's no-one listening

even the birds are gone
i guess no-one likes me
because i'm different

they've sent me here
so they don't have to see me
because i'm ugly
it's very quiet
why am i always alone
why does no-one like me
is it because i'm me
well i can't change that
but one day i'll find a friend
a true friend
someone who doesn't just like me
for what i have
or where i live
but for who i am
and then maybe
it won't be so quiet.
