Time has flown by, remembering when I
first met you
Geez, we were only 6 years old, now you’re turning 18
There was a time when we were afar, but that didn’t matter
Because we’ve always been best friends, nothing’s come between that
I remember the days we’d sit and talk, laugh and joke, play in the cubby
Now those days are gone, though we still relive them in our hearts
So many secrets we’ve shared, so many memories we have
For those will keep us strong, and help us through the days
Looking back on them, we’ll be able to stand tall and grow each day
True friends are what we are; never do we fight, nor do we get jealous
But what we always do is help and encourage, love and comfort
We’ve always had eachother around as we’ve grown up together
Years have gone by and we can still see the light of everything
It’s amazing though the happiness you
get when someone cares
It’s like your heart lights up; you find the strength to
stand up
The
happiest thing is knowing you’ve lent me your shoulder to cry on
You’re more than my friend, you’re part of my family now
