| Another great night. I drove my car to
school. That's right, we fixed my car. Dad did the cutting and welding
and I did everything else. The hood is being painted and may be ready
tomorrow, and the bumper is on its way (Dad forgot to order it). So,
wanting... rather NEEDING to drive my car (that's right, it has become a
need because I NEED to drive it to survive (stay healthy)). Anyways, I
*mostly* straightened the hood, so it latches, and I re-attached the old
broken bumper. So, I can drive it, and I have been. Anyways, besides
that, I worked tonight. After school today though, I eventually went to
Malari's house and was going to teach her how to drive stick... her new
SAAB (rather a '96), but a sweet car all the same. By the time we
would've gone out to play with it we both had to go to work. So we left
a few minutes early and I drove her to where she works. I was going to
have her learn to drive my car in the Marriott parking lot, but instead
I explained what most everything does and how it works. She didn't do
any driving. Maybe tomorrow. It seems her grandpa is trying to teach
her, but he has a really bad method of teaching her, and it's going to
suck all the fun out of driving a stick shift for her. So we are going
to do it again tomorrow, but actually drive it. I told her that if she
is aggravated when I go over, that I'll bring her out for ice cream
first, to relax her, then teach her. It'll be great. She is just
amazing. Simply amazing. Anyways, since she can't, and didn't, drive her
car to work, I picked her up afterwards as well. When we got to her
house we stayed in the car for a while and chatted. It was great. I just
openly told her that I like her, and we chatted about it all. We'll see
what happens in the future, but I'm happy because now I know where I
stand and what not. She is still amazing though. It also seems I melted
her heart the entire night... meaning I knew just what to say. I must
say, she is the first girl that I can truly say I do not like for the
purpose of how she looks. Don't get me wrong, she is beautiful, a cutie
at that, but I absolutely love spending time with her. When we went to
the movies and the Plum Tomato and wherever last Tuesday, she was great
to be with no matter where we ended up. I told her that too, that I
liked her because of her, not because of what she looks like (and added
in the part about she is beautiful, too). It's also good to know that
I'm not just saying things for a reaction, but that I truly mean them.
It's like a whole new me. I can be a sweet-talker, and it plays to my
advantage, but it's also good that I mean it all. (Not like I haven't in
the past). I think you know where I am going with this. So tomorrow I am
going to her place and we are going to go driving. I think she'll do
well. She seems to be a quick learner. Then Wednesday morning I'm going
to Omaha. Woo! I'm not looking forward to it yet, but once we get on the
plane at like 6am I will be excited. There's just so much going on here,
I don't want to leave it all behind just yet. That, and plus Malari is
such a sweetie. It really makes a big difference as soon as you have
someone you'd love to spend time with-- especially at work. Oh well,
work was good too though. I got to work with Vicky and Tim and had a
great time. I love working with them, they are very down to earth, and
plus, Vicky is great to talk to and listens well. Oh well, going to bed,
getting late... posted by Kyle @ 11:42:32 PM |
