| I've come a long way, and I haven't.
I've downloaded numerous movies, a number I cannot put an amount to
right now. I bought a new CD notebook strictly for movies with 48
sleeves. We'll see how that project goes. Since one movie fits perfectly
on one CD, I found a good system. I've also seen a few really great
movies too. Coyote Ugly was a really good one, as was Jerry Maguire.
American Beauty almost blew my mind, it was a really well done movie.
Then Changing Lanes and Magnolia also really made me think. I have to
recommend Jerry Maguire of all of those, because it's intertwined with a
silly love story that the movie focuses around. It was one of those
endings where I wished I had had a girlfriend with me at the time.
Anyways, everything else is as normal as it gets. For Intro to Video we
have a pretty good idea for the music video project we are to work on.
We are using the song 'Spin' by Lifehouse, and we are going to video a
car racing scene. You'll just have to wait to see it. Maybe I'll get it
on my web-site if I get the chance after it's all done. Christine and
Meghan are my buddies, and the three of us have some pretty sweet ideas.
Right now I'm listening to Vanessa Carlton... woo! Anyways, other bad
news. I slid off the road today. I was coming down 214 from 117 and came
around the turn that is banked the wrong way just a little over the
speed limit. Well, I usually just downshift because it slows my car down
enough, but as I came around the turn I saw a school bus letting off
kids and about 7 cars behind it. It was raining and the road was slick
from the oils in the pavement that come out when it's warm and rainy.
So, I hit the brakes, of course my car is now sliding, quickly, towards
the edge of the road. Luckily I act before I think when I'm under
pressure, and I saw three choices ahead of me. Number one, the guard
rail, hmmm. Yea, that would probably not be a good idea. Number two, the
telephone pole. Now keep in mind, this is the pole that several cars
have wrapped themselves around... I've seen it, and in a car similar to
mine. Choice three, the sand ditch next to it that leads into another
guardrail. Luckily (somehow) my wheel was turned all the way to the
right at first, because I wanted to try and stay on the road. When I
realized it wasn't going to happen I somehow managed to get my car to
slide left enough into the sand ditch. I think I had a combination of
shifting and e-brake, I'm really not sure, but it definately worked. So
I watched a car coming at me nearly miss me because he was coming at me,
counted to three, and got back on the road, unscathed, as if it never
happened. It didn't kick in until I got home that I had put my car
through oncoming traffic to other side of the road. Tough one, eh?
Anyways, there is good news for today. I got a letter in the mail from
Lasell College offering me admission to their college. Pretty sweet, eh?
So, 1 out of 3 is awesome, and I'm excited. That's all for now. 12:43:23 AM |
