Is this you waiting for files to download or pages to open that have large, many or ‘Flash’ images?? Enter the site and help get Longniddry Exchange upgraded to Broadband.

Phase One of the campaign is complete with 200 Longniddry residents registering their interest in upgrading to Broadband. BT have now set a target of 350 registrations to get the Exchange upgraded. So, lets get Phase Two underway with a concerted effort to reach this target. Get your friends and neighbours to register even though they don’t have a computer, you can register for them using their details. Remember to assure them they are not committing themselves to anything.

Dave Gough, the Campaign Manager for Longniddry, has joined forces with a number of other Campaign Managers from around the county, such as Pencaitland, East Linton and Gullane, to form the
East Lothian BroadBand Initiative (ELBBI). The purpose of this group is to exchange ideas on how to accumulate enough registrations to meet the target.

The first idea we are going to use is to employ the services of
East Lothian Council (ELC). ELC will assist in sending out a “Mailshot” which will have a Tear-off Registration Form. These Registration Forms can be posted in Speed Up Longniddry Post Boxes which will be located in various locations around the village. Exact locations will be announced on the Website once known, but the Library and Community Centre are definite locations.
