Note: I discovered that many Google searches were for photos of John Howard Griffin as a black man, so I've added these selected photos to meet this desire. DHK
There are a total of six photos in these four images. Five show Griffin as black and one as white, just after the publication of his book. Four of them were taken by Don Rutledge, the other two have no name attached to them.
All of these photos were utilized from a book by Robert Bonazzi about Griffin and the "Black Like Me" story. This book, Man in the Mirror: John Howard Griffin & the Story of "Black Like Me" (Orbis Books, 1997), is an excellent book and also has other photos, both pre- and post- Black Like Me.
