We have lived here a Marcoola Beach for the past 30 Years
during which time our Property Valuation has constantly gone UP and UP
Whilst our Actual Lifestyle Valuation has constantly DETERIORATED

MEANWHILE the Sunshine Coast AIRPORT has Grown from a Country LANDING STRIP used by the Local GLIDER CLUB into The MAIN AIRPORT for the WHOLE SUNSHINE COAST.
And there is talk of turning it into an INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
And we have SINGAPORE FLYING COLLEGE using it as their Training Base for the South Pacific.
And they ALL LAND OVER MY ROOF.

So WHY has the DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
INCREASED my Valuation by 50% ?????
When the Increased Traffic and NOISE has DECREASED my Lifestyle by 80%

I built this House with my OWN HANDS and have carried out
Extensions over the past 30 years by my own hands.
It's NOT my House - It's My HOME.

And Now that I've Retired and trying to exist on a FIXED Income in this Unstable World
It's NOT FAIR that I should have to pay the higher Rates caused by some
RICH Southerners who are prepared to pay exhorbitant Prices for nearby Properties.

Put THEIR Valuations Up and let THEM Pay the extra RATES DUE.
And Leave us Long Term Locals increased only by the C.P.I.
