Ilan raised her head from the ground, blood trickling down the corner of her mouth. She groaned and looks at the strange person above her. Cloud lay off to the side dead, Cid along with him. Sam had been casted into holy and was mumbling incoherently about nothing, Domar lay unless on the ground as his neck bled as a red haired girl stood above him. Ilan wanted to help, but it was a grave mistake. She was dying… The clone had died… Sephiroth was back… and he was not alone. Darkness over came Ilan and she collapsed to the ground.
“The nightmare is just beginning.” She heard a voice say before oblivion took her.

Chapter One
Ilan shuddered involuntarily as life 2 warmed her body and started her heart again. She felt herself taken into strong arms and struggled against them.
“Ilan… Stop please…” Cloud’s soft voice called to her.
Ilan stopped and opened her eyes slowly. It stung, as if it was her first time opening her eyes. She blinked back the pain and looked at Clouds slightly glowing blue eyes.
“He… killed you.. I had… to help. I couldn’t stand by and do nothing.” Ilan said her voice raspy.
Cloud held her closer and cradled her in his arms. He wanted nothing more then to forget he saw Sephiroth and go back to the wedding he and Ilan were in the middle of. Cid looked away and then at the ground letting them be. Domar lay dead on the ground of the cave they had woken up in. Materialess and itemless, they used what little they had to bring Ilan back to life. Domar would have to wait, though his body paler then it normally was. He would make it. Cid looked over at Sam who was still out of it mumbling something about blood, holy and death. Cid shakes his head feeling a bit sorry for the poor guy.
“At least the others aren’t here to see you like this Sam.” Cid mumbled to himself as he lighted up a cigarette.
Cid starred up at the ceiling of the cave, with the storm raging outside they weren’t going anywhere for a while. Not in this condition. Sam slowly stopped mumbling and pressed himself up against the wall of the cave making himself as small as possible in the darkness. He was afraid, of them and Sephiroth. Sam had seen things in holy he had long ago forgotten and didn’t want to remember such as when and how he became what he is, a vampire. The remembered every little and large pain he suffered as a human and afterwards. He remembered it all, the kills, the first time he ever smelled and tasted blood. He shuddered and wanted to cry for the first time in many, many years. But the tears would not come; his body had long forgotten how to cry. Cid looked over in Sam’s direction not hearing the mumbling.
“Sam?” Cid called out.
Sam didn’t answer and willed Cid to leave him be but that wasn’t going to stop Cid.
“God Damnit!” Cid cursed as he stood up and stretched his back, “If you’re not coming out, I’m gonna come over there.”
Cid walked over to where Sam hide himself and stood there starring into the shadows trying to make things out. Sam groaned softly and Cid grinned slightly.
“There ya are.” Cid said reaching into the shadows pulling Sam out of them and shoved him towards the middle of the cave where Ilan and Cloud were.
“Leave me be!!!” Sam yelled and caught Cid by his wrist as he shoved him away.
Sam yanked Cid towards himself and looked him into the eyes. Sam’s eyes cold and lifeless. Cid’s mouth fell agape and the cigarette fell out of his mouth.
“SAM!!!” Ilan’s voice rang out as her fist contacted with his head.
Sam winced and let go of cid he turned to Ilan rubbing his head.
“Don’t you go drinking Cid’s blood. His blood is full of nasty stuff from all the cigarette’s he smokes.” Ilan said putting her hands on her hips.
Cloud stood up and smiled at the thought. Sam grinned sheepishly while Cid gave Ilan a nasty glare.
“And ‘sides that. We need to get out of this mess first before we do anything else.” Cloud said walking over to the entrance of the cave and looking out into the storm.
Cid snorted and lit up another cigarette. Ilan giggled while Sam sat down crossed legged on the ground.
“We aren’t going any where soon Cloud. The storm’s to strong and most likely we’d freeze to death right now.” Cid stated sitting down also.
“I know, I know…but we can’t stay here long.” Cloud replied.
Cloud walked over to where Cid and Sam were sitting and sat down himself. Cloud looked over at Domar who looked like a lifeless doll more then normal. Domar laid there stiffly, his white hair in a mess, and spread out around him slightly. Cloud’s eyes caught something glowing near Domar and he crawled over that way on all fours. Cloud looked at Domar again and found the dimly glowing light. It was the Pixie that always hung around Domar, his friend for four hundred years Domar said. Cloud reached over towards the pixie and scooped it up in his hands. It was weak and didn’t look like it could fly anymore. It bit Cloud’s hand and cloud winced slightly.
“I deserver that.” Cloud said to the pixie and placed the pixie on Domar’s chest.
The pixie’s glow became dimmer and dimmer until it faded away as Domar’s life had. Cloud looked at the same red mark on his hand from where the pixie had bit him and sighed. He crawled back over to where he was sitting and sat there thinking hard.
“We can’t leave Domar dead like this.” Cloud said as Ilan sat down next to him.
“Damnit Cloud. I know that. We just don’t have the materia to do anything about it.” Cid growled out.
“We’re itemless to.” Ilan said.
“That puts us between a rock and a very, very hard place.” Cloud stated grimly.
Ilan patted herself down and sighed when she came up with nothing. The last hope that she might have had some kind of materia on her faded, though this was her own hope. Sam finally noticed something and raised with silver claw into the light of the cave for all to see.
“At least there’s some hope.” Sam said.
Cloud nodded his head. One weapon was better then none and Sam had the only one. Sam lowers his claw and holds the cold metal close to his cool body. At least he could do something now, instead of repeating his past he was going to make something better of it. Ilan walked over to Domar and began wrapping his neck, though it did no good. She could stand to see that wound on his neck any more. Cloud let her and shook his head. He muttered Domar’s real name three times but nothing happened, as he knew nothing was going to happen. After however long Domar had been alive and seen so much death he dies now. But Cloud couldn’t let him stay dead, he was a friend. Ilan walked back over to where she was sitting and sat down. There was nothing more that could be done, if anything at all. Though it was seemingly hopeless there was a ray of hope….
