D:Hey hey (in funny voice!)
K:How ya doin'?
D:I'm good, how're you guys doin'?
K:We're good where're ya?
D:I'm in London but i was listening to D12 and i was thinking when i have children i'm gonna buy them that record.
K:Cos they love that sorta stuff fighhhtt muuusic. Hey how's that weather over there? Is it all grey and sombre or what's happening over there?
D:It's abit nippy i'll tell ya i've been umm i haven't actually been to my house in San Francisco in 2 months so i've been travelling all around the world and it's probably the mildest winter here because i was in Sweden and that was pretty unbearable so here in London, it's abit nippy but the sky's are blue so..
J:Are they cool, i'm going there next week so i'm looking forward to that, and what are you doing there Darren?
D:I've basically just been talking about the single, talking about the album coming out next year. It's been really great actually because you know, i've only just finished the album about 3 or 4 weeks ago and record companies around the world have the chance to sit down with it, so i've basically just been talking to people about it and meeting and greating some new faces and old friends
K:Excellent so what's the response been with you know, obviously the split it was a coupla months ago already are people still dragging that up every time they speak to ya?
D:I think it's pretty much well documented and most people just kind of moved on. It's obviously been a logical conclusion we're both happy and we're both doing what we want to with our lives and people have been really supportive.
K:Cool cool
J:And when was the last time you spoke to Daniel?
D:(long pause)..It would be a coupla months ago
J:Yea, and you guys are still on..ok terms though aren't ya?
D:We've done this before guys haven't we. We've been here
K: Mmm
D:We've been these people
J:What's that?
K:Yea that's right
D:We've been these people before, we've done this story to deaaath It's been printed in, i think it was printed on the back of the toilet paper last time i went to toilet. It's done, let's move on.
K:I put my finger through it too by the way
D:Exactly
K:By accident. Hey you gotta, been sporting a new look, you know who's gotten a hold on you and getting a brush through the hair..
J:The hair's different
D:You know i just stopped dying my hair. I used to dye it black...
K:YOU USED TO DYE IT BLACK?!
D:I'm a blonde curly aussie.
K:Why didn't you..but i would've never known, were you going through like..were you going through like a i'm not looking anything like Craig McG__lan(?), i'm dying my hair black
D:Exactly. Nah you know what it was, seriously it was about 8 years ago i thought i was Bono. I was obsessed with this album called A. Baby(?) seriously pierced my ears, dyed my hair black and all of a sudden that was the image and i guess i should've let me regrowth shine through a little bit more cos everyone believed me.
K:Have you ever seen anyone with black tips and white regrowth? I've never seen that, i would've loved to have seen....
D:That's probably me on vacation a few year ago
K:Hey well good luck promoting the album all over the place and where you off to next?
D:I'm on to New York then LA and then all my family are coming over to San Francisco for xmas
K:Ohh gee that sounds good during, before xmas but when they actaully arrive it's like oh god when are they going
J:That'd be nice
D:No it's going to be good, i'm suppose to cook so wish them luck
K:And are you abit of a cook or is this a first time thing
D:It's..well the first time i ever cooked a roast turkey i left the giblets inside. You know the ..you're suppose to pull out the inside bits?
J:Oh yea
K:the guts and everything
D:So this time around i'm gonna take them out
K:So you baked it with like all the sh*t inside it and everything(!!!!)
J:Ok so that's another step we're taking (loads of laughter). Well good luck with that dinner then Darren and good luck with the new single
